@_skeletonhill@JAR0DC0RE This bothers me so much cause aou and civil war makes it clear she’s super young and then all of a sudden she’s in her 30’s in WV lmao
One of the funniest things to come from the Lanterns writing room is: "The Green Lanterns are cops, John is a superhero"
Meanwhile the first choice John made with the Lantern/ring was decide that a cop doesn't need to go to jail for killing her spouse. Couldn't make this up.
> Surf Dracula: Secret Origin reveals that the surfboard originally belonged to his older brother who died in a shark-jumping accident.
> Dracula Resurf reveals that his board is powered by The High Tide, an extra dimensional energy that powers all surf boards, and he has to put a stop to an apocalyptic evil called The Low Tide.
> Scott Snyder's Surf Dracula introduces 13 other Tide Forces, each progressively dumber than the last.
> Tom King's Surf Dracula sees him giving up surfing because every drop of water reminds him of the tears of the brown children he killed during the War on Terror. He finally rides the board after 15 issues and then commits suicide.
“Lanterns never promised anything other than what it was”
If you’re adapting a superhero comic book predicated on alien menaces and cosmic warfare, that is the promise. It’s like adapting Bram Stoker’s Dracula and wondering why everyone was let down by the indie rock band story.
Mfs Will see Superman saving a metahuman baby from a pocket dimension black hole with Krypto and Metamorpho and look you in the eyes a judge you for wanting a little more Lantern mythos in your Lanterns show.
the fact that Hal and John were struggling to take care of one robot in one small town while Guy here handles an entire bloodthirsty army by just strolling around is hilarious
