#Sepsis is a life-threatening reaction to an infection, when the immune system becomes overwhelmed.

Symptoms in adults can include:

🔺️Confusion
🔺️Slurred speech
🔺️Blotchy/pale/grey skin
🔺️Difficulty breathing
🔺️Shivering
🔺️A very high/low temperature

16 long days in hospital and Dad is finally home. Watching him fight #Sepsis has been the scariest time, but his strength and fight is incredible. So glad he got the help he needed in time. So grateful to all the fantastic #NHS staff involved in making sure he is on the mend

Having had online access at our Practice for a while now - the issue isn't about the concept - it has certainly helped patient access & communication.

However, without control, & more GPs/staff to deal with queries, many feel already stretched services risk being overwhelmed.

We're launching a chickenpox vaccination programme which will protect around half a million children each year.

From January 2026, eligible children will get an MMRV vaccine to protect against measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox.

Eligibility will be announced in due course.
