The excitement of Biden stepping down and Kamala getting the nomination was all about the feeling that this was something new and that things could change. The Harris campaign in the months between then and the election seemed determined to beat back that premise.
you cannot be posting this with an incredulous tone when the only two things people know about iowa are that they grow a lot of corn and slipknot is from there
@ShadowTodd Everyone here is saying "How is the movie pro-Bush?" without addressing the dramatic speech the protagonist gives toward about how America should keep the rest of the world in line.
@tittypal@welcome2onukoro@punished_stu Liberals, including Harris, where in broad agreement that a wall was a waste of money that pandered to racists. Now they want to expand it. I'm not saying don't vote for her (I plan to) but we need to acknowledge that shows a shift to the right in rhetoric and policy.
@tittypal@welcome2onukoro@punished_stu Trump wanting to build a wall was rightfully seen as a stupid and racist and now it's just a part of Harris' platform. The dems are, in fact, moving to the right of where they where four years ago.
Chappell Roan is donating proceeds to Palestine and told the Whitehouse to fuck off when they tried to pink-wash her
She’s extremely political and this quote is cherry picked out of context
She’s criticizing the engine of celebrity endorsement and asking us to engage directly
@DebateAmericaUS@gavinbena These areas are not political monoliths. The number of people in LA county that voted for Trump in 2020 is bigger than the total population of Montana.
@tpinnock@TheOnion It works not just because it makes fun of a bad thing he did (scaremongering about immigrants eating pets) but also the image of someone getting extremely mad because they can't use an obvious vanity plate name is just a funny image.
@esjesjesj I mean, if anything chess has the opposite problem. If you play it beyond a casual level it becomes 5d nightmare hell. Part of reason you add things like hidden information and random elements are so you don't need to have the insane memorization barrier of games like chess or go
@tredlocity I feel petty complaining about this but the way they split up the secondary cast into three groups (raz's family, the interns, named employees that look similar to the generic walkaround characters) instead of just one group you can follow throughout the whole game bugged me.
