"Tonight, Michael Portillo presents a programme where he works his way around his favourite British birds: tits, shags, swallows."
@antonyclem7 Hi Anthony, I wonder if you'd mind putting a short review of the book on Amazon to say that you found the book helpful? Hope you are well π
@antoclemmo Thanks Anthony - I'm so pleased. Would you mind putting a review of the book on Amazon? I think reading a positive review helps people decide that the book might help them. As I said, if I can help you in any way with something diabetes-related, let me know π
@antoclemmo Well done! So, you're in the UK? Me too. I think there are so many people with Type 2 now, doctors are sort of giving up. I have a friend who's a diabetes nurse and she says it's just overwhelming now. Thanks for buying the book - I'll help you in anyway I can.
@antoclemmo Insulin works better when there is less fat to impede its action so, as long as you keep the weight off, your diabetes will be improved if not reversed. If weight comes back, insulin works less well and diabetes returns.
@antoclemmo I think that although it's been know for years that body fat stops insulin working as well, medical docs haven't grasped the idea that losing weight and exercising regularly can reverse Type 2. I have 42 years of Type 1, lol.
@antoclemmo Thanks Anthony. My motivation is to help other people with diabetes. I'm not a medical doctor - I studied for a PhD in diabetes health education to help myself initially, and then others who are struggling with it π
@antoclemmo You seem to have it all in hand! Chapter in the book about reversing Type 2 with diet but basically exactly what you're doing. As you know, carbs are broken down into glucose, so eating as few as possible & exercising means you need less insulin - proud of what you've achieved π
@guardianreview Hello, with 700 people a day being diagnosed with diabetes, would you be interested in reviewing HOW TO LIVE WELL WITH DIABETES by Dr Val Wilson (Robinson, 2019), a diabetes researcher who has had the condition for 42 years?
π
@VJAllison1974 Hi V.J. I decided that Twitter is safer than FB for trolls! Thanks for your continued friendship on FB, even though I don't go there often. Hope you had a good birthday π
@antoclemmo Hi Antony. I've had diabetes-related depression for 42 years and thought this book might help you: HOW TO LIVE WELL WITH DIABETES οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½
