Eid al Adha reminds us that true sacrifice is not only in what we give up, but in surrendering our ego, desires, and pride for the sake of Allah.
The path to nearness of Allah is built through sincerity, obedience, gratitude, and compassion toward others.
May Allah accept our sacrifices and purify our hearts. Eid Mubarak. 🌙
The greatest battle of the modern era may not be over territory, institutions, or even ideology, but over human attention, perception, identity, and behavioural autonomy.
This is why the discussion around “Khudi” (self-reliance and inner sovereignty) is psychologically critical. A society that loses its internal compass becomes highly vulnerable to external programming, emotional manipulation, ideological tribalism, and dependency on authority figures or institutional validation.
Another deeply important observation is the transition from centralized leadership to decentralized digital organization. Psychologically, this reflects declining public trust in traditional authority structures and increasing awareness of manipulation, coercion, and institutional compromise.
However, decentralization alone is not enough. Without ethical grounding and psychological maturity, decentralized systems can also become chaotic, impulsive, and vulnerable to emotional contagion.
The concept of “social media psychosis” mentioned here reflects a genuine behavioural phenomenon. The brain begins to substitute symbolic participation (posting, reacting, sharing outrage) for meaningful action. Neurologically, the reward circuitry receives enough stimulation to create the illusion of contribution without the discomfort, discipline, sacrifice, or sustained resilience that genuine transformation requires.
This is an exceptionally important analysis because it highlights a reality many behavioural psychologists and social researchers have been warning about for years: modern systems no longer rely primarily on physical control ; they rely on psychological conditioning, emotional exhaustion, distraction, and behavioural compliance.
From a behavioural psychology perspective, the most powerful point in this discussion is not the evolution of protest tactics, but the evolution of human conditioning itself.
