@EstherMcVey1 Plenty, like me, are also parents and carers. I don’t know many single mothers of 4, including one with additional needs who work 26 hours or more. Does being a GP mean my children can’t have any parent spend time with them as they grow up?

@StevieC2606 @DrShanHussain @Telegraph So that would be 75k per year each. You wouldn’t get equivalently trained people in any other industry to work for that. Oh, and they pay 25% pension contributions. So take home pay that’s 56k before tax. Based on a GP doing 11 hour days 4 days per week that’s about £20 an hour.
