@PulmCrit What’s your end-point for the sedation on BIPAP? Titrated unconsciousness but airway still patient & benefitting from NIV possibly isn’t asleep enough for intubation- ?requiring a middle step?

Also,presumably no opiates to prevent apnea - so, more sedative with resultant low BP?

The Global Anaesthetic Safety (GAS) card has received great feedback in many African nations, distributed by @SAFE_courses and @wfsawca.

The checklist cards usually hang on the lanyard so they can’t be forgotten, and are carried by a whole team.

But, some hospitals hang a single card on the emergency grab bag or pager. One card costing under £1, but one big impact.

@UKGastroDr Sadly I think so many are focussing on non-clinical skills to get their application over the line. When at this period it is so crucial to get clinical experience under your belt. I say this as an academic clinician.
