Texas is on the verge of mandating more than 5 million of its public school students to study Bible stories, as the state emerges as a leader in a national conservative effort to infuse Christian teachings into American classrooms. https://t.co/dEFkVVJadA
Senator Richard Blumenthal is demanding an investigation into reports of a secret, $500m investment by an Emirati Royal into the Trump family’s cryptocurrency business: “Probably the most overtly corrupt deal by an American president with any foreign official in American history.”

MONSANTO'S MAN ON THE SUPREME COURT
Clarence Thomas did not recuse himself in the Monsanto case. Thomas worked as an attorney in Monsanto's legal department in the 70's.
Three major Monsanto cases have come before the bench while Thomas has been a justice. He has voted Monsantos way each time
Trump’s decision to drive his motorcade across the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool earlier this year is facing renewed scrutiny. https://t.co/j9gXg5beac
.Shameful! > @SecDuffy’s youngest daughter has Downs Syndrome, yet he’s perfectly comfortable standing there and throwing out “libtard,”a MAGA word used to degrade people,at a public event on the NationalMall because that’s how debased, immoral, and vulgar the MAGA cult is.
You all know Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, who spent a lot of his official time on the public payroll driving around the country filming a documentary that was funded by many of the corporations he’s supposed to regulate.
Tonight on the National Mall, he thanked the military band that performed at a 250th Anniversary Celebration and said they were “way better than those libtards that canceled on us.”

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) horrified voters today by openly embracing gutter racism against Somali-Americans and immigrants.
In a shameful speech, Emmer appeared visibly pleased that he no longer felt the need to conceal his prejudice against his own constituents.
“Guess what? There is nothing racist about calling out a criminal,” Emmer began, before launching into a tirade that would have been unthinkable on the national stage not long ago.
He mocked Minnesotans for being afraid of being called racists or Islamophobes, boasting: “I would argue that I never did care, but I am done being careful, even the least bit careful.”
He then took a direct aim at the state’s Somali population: “Celebrate your culture. I don’t care, Italian, Polish, you know, Somali. Okay, but they don’t assimilate, and if they don’t assimilate, then they should go the hell back to where they came from.”
Not only are Emmer’s remarks a disgusting glimpse of what leadership in the Republican Party now feels emboldened to confess, but they are a direct insult to Minnesota’s Somali-American community.
They also insult the residents of all backgrounds who stood up for one another when ICE laid siege to Minneapolis last winter.
While federal agents terrorized the community — ultimately killing two innocent Americans, Renee Good and Alex Pretti — everyday Minneapolis residents kicked into action to protect and support their targeted neighbors.
The New York Times reported on Feb. 9 that ICE agents were actively staking out hunger relief sites. In response, local volunteers put themselves in harm’s way to deliver groceries to families who were unable to leave their homes. The Times noted that volunteers were even trained to eat paper slips containing recipients’ addresses if followed by federal agents.
Pastor Sergio Amezcua, a 2024 Trump voter who expressed deep regret to the outlet, voiced his horror during the occupation: “We know [ICE is] trying to impede [hunger relief]. I think Trump has no idea how people are living in Minnesota. If he does, Lord have mercy on him.”
Another volunteer named Gabriela recounted having to actively evade agents who were tracking the license plates of relief workers. Her deliveries of food, diapers, and formula were the only thing keeping an asylum-seeking family of four alive after they were forced to stop going to work out of fear.
In fact, Minneapolis’ united front against the exact xenophobia Emmer is preaching was so powerful that it inspired similar mutual aid networks in Belfast this month, after Elon Musk stoked anti-immigrant tensions in Northern Ireland.
As Belfast writer Lee Hurley shared on June 12, hundreds of strangers began working together to handle grocery shopping, transport kids to school, and protect residents who were too terrified to leave their homes.
Solidarity and community protection are the true face of Minnesota, which is exactly why xenophobic politicians like Emmer are so deeply rattled.
Emmer isn’t some fringe, low-level lawmaker. As independent journalist Marisa Kabas pointed out on Bluesky today, he is the House Majority Whip — the third most powerful Republican in the House.
“This *is* the party,” Kabas added, evident given the complete lack of censure from his GOP colleagues.
Emmer wants us to believe his hateful rhetoric represents the norm, but the people of Minneapolis already proved him wrong by providing a courageous model of how to protect our friends and neighbors.
This bigotry has absolutely no place in American democracy.
Remember exactly who these people are when you vote this November. Is this nightmare the America you want your children to inherit?

Amy Coney Barrett adopted two children from Haiti.
Now she’s part of a Supreme Court majority allowing the Trump administration to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for roughly 350,000 Haitians, putting many at risk of losing legal protection while instability continues in their home country.
Many Haitians with TPS work as nurses, nursing assistants, home health aides, and other essential healthcare professionals across the United States.
This is a profound contradiction. Supporters argue the ruling was about executive authority and immigration law, not the merits of Haiti’s conditions.
Whatever your view, these decisions affect real families, real workers, and real communities. That’s why transparency, accountability, and thoughtful public debate matter.
@MAGACult2 Amen. It's these so called "alpha male" liars who continue to drag our country down. They have no honor, no pride but I bet their wallets a bigger! Blame every member of the @GOP. They could have taken our country in a different direction but they took the low road instead #shame
