महाराष्ट्र ने देश की अर्थव्यवस्था, उद्योग, सिनेमा और संस्कृति में अग्रणी भूमिका निभाई है। एक समय मुंबई को भारत की निर्विवाद वित्तीय राजधानी माना जाता था। आज भी इसकी पहचान मजबूत है, लेकिन चुनौतियाँ भी उतनी ही स्पष्ट हैं।

शहरों में बुनियादी ढांचे का दबाव बढ़ता जा रहा है, सड़कें संकरी हैं, विस्तार की गति धीमी है, और आवास इतना महंगा हो चुका है कि आम आदमी के लिए घर एक सपना बनता जा रहा है। राज्य के कई हिस्सों में आज भी पानी की कमी है, सूखा एक आवर्ती संकट है, और विदर्भ का किसान अब भी असुरक्षा और संकट से जूझ रहा है।

सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात: महाराष्ट्र की अर्थव्यवस्था को आगे बढ़ाने वाले लाखों श्रमिक, चाहे वे यहीं के हों या उत्तर प्रदेश और बिहार जैसे राज्यों से आए हों, वे सम्मान और गरिमा के हकदार हैं। सब्ज़ी बेचने वाले, रिक्शा चलाने वाले, निर्माण मजदूर, यही लोग शहर को जीवंत रखते हैं। फिर भी, उन्हें अक्सर वह सम्मान नहीं मिलता जिसके वे हकदार हैं।

आज का दिन केवल उत्सव का नहीं, बल्कि संकल्प का भी होना चाहिए
एक ऐसा महाराष्ट्र बनाने का, जो विकास में अग्रणी होने के साथ-साथ समानता, संवेदनशीलता और समावेशन में भी मिसाल बने।

So it’s not alarmist to say that a chunk of the Indian population are struggling with diabetes, sugar, metabolic disorders, excess weight. In the day and age of weight loss drugs (Ozempic, Mounjaro), many are even taking shortcuts, but at what cost?
