China is well aware of US plans to encircle and contain it both economically and militarily - it is also well aware of Washington's use of social media to infiltrate and capture national information space and use it to destabilize and politically capture the nation itself.
China has spent decades building up its military, economy, infrastructure, information space, and its population to overcome these US efforts.
This includes the massive Belt and Road Initiative, its unprecedented investments in energy of all kinds, investments in education and industry, and of course the development of its military capabilities.
China has also built up is own ecosystem of social-media platforms to control how information is created/shared/consumed within its own information space - rather than Washington and Silicon Valley doing it for them...
I don't want people to misinterpret my warning about what the US is doing.
The US is not "unstoppable."
The US is only successful because people are too easily divided and distracted from doing anything at all to stop it.
China is already working hard to create a different future and a different global paradigm - Russia as well. So are many others across the multipolar world.
But the world needs as many people as possible everywhere to contribute as well.
The moment people realize what the US is doing and become determined to stop it, they can move mountains to do so - China is already doing it.
My warning is in the hope that many others far beyond China realize this danger and become active in confronting and overcoming it - and contributing to a better future.
The future is what we make of it - but if we are disarmed by information operations, political circus, and diversions - we won't have a part in making that future at all.
1. The latest example of an unserious nation governed by unserious people
"A spokesperson for @dfat told @abcnews that Canberra had a clear interest in "peace and stability, unimpeded trade, and freedom of navigation"."

US lawyer and antiwar activist Dan Kovalik just had his devices seized and was interrogated by counter-terror police at Liverpool Airport
Meanwhile, Palestine solidarity activist Sarah Wilkinson is heading to trial on terrorism charges for a couple of Twitter posts, and refusing to give police her mobile pin
The Canary, one of the UK’s most doggedly antiwar independent media outlets, was just debanked by Lloyd’s
The UK recently refused entry to Hasan Piker and Cenk Uyghur, two of the most recognizable voices of the left wing of the US Democratic Party, on national security grounds
It did the same this month to US journalist Jeremy Loffredo
UK counter terror police detained and interrogated my colleague, Kit Klarenberg, seizing his devices, and grilling him about his investigative journalism. PM Keir Starmer’s Labour Together slush fund even hired a private intel firm to smear Kit and The Grayzone.
UK police raided journalist Asa Winstanley’s home and illegally seized his devices on suspicion of “encouragement of terrorism”
The UK Crown Prosecution Service attempted to prosecute journalist Richard Medhurst under the Terrorism Act, but failed
The list of journalists and activists repressed by the British regime goes on and on. And they have one thing in common: outspoken opposition to Israel’s genocidal agenda.
Who’s actually in charge in London?
If the support internally is so strong why are they so afraid of debate?
It’s because AUKUS, which is led and directed by the US, is a strategic surrender to Washington.
The truth is AUKUS is about as patriotic as Pine Gap, no matter how hard Labor spins it.
What Belgium’s King Leopold II, one of Europe’s worst genocidal monsters did to Congo:
During his rule, Leopold declared Congo as his personal colonial possession and proceeded to commit horrific genocide upon the Congolese people.
8-10 million Congolese died during ‘personal rule’, with violence as a mechanism of organising production. Through mercenaries, prisons, forced starvation, and executions, Leopold II turned Congo into a concentration camp, using Congolese as the labour to extract vast profits from the rubber quotas imposed on the population.
The profits were used to build Belgium’s grand buildings and landmarks, while Congolese were exterminated systematically through forced labour, mass killings, and famine.
While the metropole of Belgium’s empire flourished, while Congo became an extraction machine. Workers who failed to meet the quotas were mutilated, having their hands cut off. These workers included children.
Villages were punished collectively. Women were held hostage until men delivered rubber. Failure meant mutilation, flogging, or execution. Terror was the incentive structure. Pain replaced wages.
The Congolese people never saw the profits, only the oppression of being used as slave labour. Belgium has still not offered a formal apology to the Congolese people for the genocidal atrocities committed against them…
Because doing so would acknowledge a fundamental truth; that European capitalism was not born from ‘innovation’, ‘free trade’, or ‘liberal values’, but through barbaric destruction of global south nations and the looting of their resources for profit.
Lumumba was assassinated for daring to seek real independence and freedom from the sadistic neocolonial domination that Belgium and the United States had planned for Congo, after the blood of millions of Congolese had been spilled for the benefit of Belgium.
In Labor's mind 'patriotism' is handing over billions in public funds, defence & foreign policy to the US.
And being 'progressive' is gutting funding for people with a disability and veterans healthcare to pay for it.
If this is 'Labor Left' god knows what Labor right is up to.
This is why they toppled the government in Kiev in 2014, despite knowing it would likely trigger war and knowing that only a small minority of Ukrainians wanted NATO membership. This is why they have sabotaged every peace deal for 12 years. This is why NATO chants that weapons are the path to peace, and basic diplomacy has been boycotted since 2022. This is why they pump billions into a corrupt system that keeps an extremely unpopular Zelensky in power and hunt for Ukrainian conscripts. This is why they pretend Ukraine is winning even as all evidence indicates otherwise. This is why we are not allowed to debate the overwhelming evidence of NATO's role without smears, intimidation, and censorship. The goal was never peace; it was to set up Ukrainians as cannon fodder to weaken a strategic rival of NATO.
Germany and France are out of Palantir and now Spain. It's time for Australia to start looking towards sovereign control of critical systems and reducing our reliance on US billionaire owned and controlled tech.
History they don’t teach you: on this day in 1960, Fidel Castro nationalised Esso, Shell and Texaco in Cuba🇨🇺, breaking the United States’ draconian control of the Cuban economy.
After the Soviet Union began supplying Cuba with crude oil, Texaco, Esso, and British-Dutch Shell refused to refine Soviet oil for Cuba after pressure from the US government.
100% of Cuba’s oil refining capacity was controlled by these 3 corporations, meaning the US government and these corporations effectively held the Cuban economy at gunpoint. Fidel Castro responded to this by nationalising the assets of all 3 corporations.
Before Cuba's revolution, US financial interests owned 90% of Cuba’s mines, 80% of public utilities, 50% of railways, 40% of sugar production & 25% of bank deposits.
In the first 30 months after Fidel Castro and Cuba’s communists came to power, more classrooms were built in those 30 months than had been built in the previous 30 years. Within the first six months of Castro's government, 600 miles of road had been built across the island, while $300 million was spent on water and sanitation schemes.
Over 800 houses were constructed every month in the early years of the administration in a measure to cut homelessness, while nurseries and day-care centers were opened for children and other centers opened for the disabled and elderly.
With the arrival of the revolutionary government, Cuban healthcare was nationalised and expanded with heavy investment, bringing free healthcare access to millions.
Universal vaccination for childhood diseases was introduced, leading to infant mortality rates plummeting. Cuba's 'army of doctors' is now sent to crisis-hit countries around the world. Since 1963, more than 600,000 Cuban health workers have provided medical services in more than 160 countries.
Despite being under the illegal embargo imposed by the US, Cuba now has a higher life expectancy than the US, has more doctors per capita than the US, and is among the top 35 countries for lowest child mortality rates. Under Fidel Castro's rule, UNICEF declared severe child malnutrition to be eradicated.
Donald Trump’s looming war on Cuba is revenge for Cuban revolutionaries daring to break the US’ control of the island nation. Trump wants to return to the times when Cuba was effectively an American economic colony.
"If all this can happen to me. Imagine what can happen to others."
I interviewed George Galloway and his wonderful wife Gayatri in Moscow this week. About their exile in Russia. And its so crazy. British police even interrogated Gayatri about the Palestine flag painted on her fingernail!
"Essentially the government will be able to designate any individual or organization as acting against the British state." And he's scared of getting that 4am knock on the door. So one of Britains most famous political figures went into exile.
And what has he done? Promoted peace with Russia. Well, that's in British interests. Promoted peace with Iran. Well, that's in British interests. Its not in British interests what Isreal is doing in Gaza either. And so how has he damaged British interests?
The British security state is out of control. Britain in not sovreign. Those in charge are acting in foreign interests. And everyone knows it. That is the problem. @georgegalloway@GayatriGalloway
The US ended Germany access to cheap energy by destroying Nord Stream and then provided economic incentives for the struggling German industries to relocate to the US. However, our "journalists" can inform us the problem is a "full-blown assault" by China.
That time when an unarmed Iranian ship was invited to take part in an Indian naval exercise alongside the United States.
Its sailors were welcomed on land and paraded before Indian President Modi as a gesture of respect.
Then, at the last moment, the United States suddenly abruptly withdrew from the exercise, only to wait and torpedo the very ship it had just stood beside.
What followed was even more grotesque.
After attacking an unarmed vessel, the US refused to rescue the sailors it had blown into the sea, abandoning them to drown.
The grim work of recovering bodies was left to the Sri Lankan Navy.
This wasn’t warfare,it was treachery of the most disgraceful kind: an ambush carried out under the pretense of diplomacy, followed by a cold refusal to show even the most basic human decency to the dying.
It would represent a collapse of every norm that supposedly governs civilized conduct at sea.
And yet, instead of outrage, much of the American media response has been indifference or rationalization.
The bombing of a girls’ school is brushed aside; talk of carpet-bombing Tehran is floated as if it were just another policy option.
When atrocities are normalized and cruelty is laundered into “strategy,” the line between reporting and complicity begins to disappear......
