When do you call it quits?
Real software leaders know you can't have endless innovation without also knowing when to cancel unviable projects.

What's wrong with API keys? Well, they're long-lived, leaked constantly, easily reused by hackers, rarely cycled, and usually provide overpermissioned access. @nordicapis

Well, @APIdaysGlobal NYC 2026 is a wrap! The most obvious focus this year? Agents. APIs are a form of context for agentic AI, and there are emerging tactics for setting them up for success.
95% faster seller prep time.
16% better attainment.
$2.7 million in new sales opportunities.
1,700 hours saved.
My latest for @CIOonline features real results from CIOs actively deploying AI agents to accelerate sales and revenue workflows.

Excited to share that Iโll be at @APIdaysGlobal NYC next week! I'll be helping MC tracks across both days. Who's gonna be around?

Cloudflare rebuilt Next.js over a weekend using agentic coding.
As CTO @dok2001 says, "This kind of reinvents the factory floor."

I have to agree with @elonmusk on this one. @waybackmachine clearly preserves OpenAI's original publicly-stated goal from 2015 as a "non-profit" "benefiting humanity as a whole." Put the $ back into the charity. ๐
@travisspencer@InfoWorld I love that. Good for critical thinking and inspiration! Some of the best tech founders I've talked with have the most diverse experience in different domains too.
Enterprise-grade AI agents require a new form of systems thinking. My latest for @InfoWorld explores the emerging best practices for building agentic systems.

Does anyone have any good stories or data of AI creating *more* jobs than it's taking away? Or examples of net-positive talent redistributions in software engineering?
Just dropped in @InfoWorld: โBest practices for building agentic systemsโ
A must-read for anyone building enterprise-grade AI agents.
@Airrived_ai CEO @AnuragGurtu nails it:
โBuilding agentic systems requires a fundamentally new architecture โ one designed for autonomy, not just automation. Agents need a runtime, a brain, hands, memory, and guardrails.โ
Big thanks to @DoerrfeldBill for the ink & excellent piece. ๐

Today I look into ING Bank's journey developing a custom-made service mesh to manage its 2k microservices portfolio.
We covered their API-first transition on @nordicapis in 2017, so it's pretty cool to see the journey coming full-circle after 9 years.

Throwing AI everywhere can be such an unnecessary waste and UX toll. Especially for simple, codified, and repeatable features.
I actually have a feature story coming out on this very topic soon... ๐
I hate AI when it's like this:
Notion used to have a one-click way to turn text into a quote. They removed this and now I have... AI
So instead of sub-500ms, it now takes 10+ seconds to turn selected text into a quote (type out the prompt, then wait ~4 seconds)
So backwards...
