This heartbreaking eyewitness report came from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where dogs and cats are spotted regularly crammed into cages on the back of motorcycles, to be transported to slaughter.

And how we wish we could tell you these dogs were rescued. Sadly, we can't. 💔

Thousands of local residents are reporting incidents through our FOUR PAWS Reporting Tool, which helps us gather vital evidence of the dog and cat meat trade. It is not an emergency rescue service, and unfortunately, we often cannot intervene in time to save the animals reported. 🔍

🚨 But their suffering must not be ignored. We must advocate for them, and all animals at risk to this cruel trade.

We must stand up for the millions of dogs and cats who suffer because of this cruel trade. Many of them are beloved pets, stolen from the families who love them.

And that's why it is also important to emphasise: only 6% of Vietnamese consume dog and cat meat. Most locals want this trade to end so they can protect the beloved pets they share their lives with.

📢 Local communities are speaking out. Animal lovers across Vietnam are demanding change. And now, they need our global voices alongside theirs.
