My pledge to Wang Wang:
I’ve always loved animals. I’m vegan, and years ago I was involved in animal advocacy.
Then life got busy. It became painful to look at. And eventually, I stopped.
Wang Wang’s story changed me. It moved me in a way I don’t think I’ve ever been moved before.
It reminded me what happens when we look away because the suffering is too painful, too distant, or feels too big to change.
I can’t look away anymore.
Wang Wang deserved a kinder world. So do the animals who are still here.
#wangwang, we will keep fighting in your honor for a world where cruelty is not simply tolerated, and where animals are safer because people chose to care.
As long as it takes.

This would be awesome if it is true/accurate! Anyone have any info on it?
My understanding was that there were no grounds for legal action under current laws.

SOMEONE IS TRYING TO FILE A CIVIL SUIT IN REGARDS TO WANGWANG!!!!
Not to mention a prominent lawyer in China has started publicly talking about animal protection laws.
THIS IS GREAT NEWS!!! HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!
The only silver lining in Wang Wang’s story has been finding this extraordinary community of people around the world.
What happened showed us the darkest side of humanity.
But everything since has shown me the other side too: compassion, courage, kindness, and thousands of strangers refusing to look away.
There is so much good in people. ❤️🐾

Bunun gibi binlerce sokak köpeği, her gün yavrularından koparılıyor…
Onun gözlerindeki acı, bizim vicdanımızın sınavıdır.
Sokak hayvanlarına gösterilecek merhamet, aslında insanlığın aynasıdır.
Bir annenin feryadı, hepimize yazılmış bir çağrı:
‘Evlatlarımı kopardınız… bari şefkatinizi koruyun.’
Unutmayalım, sokak hayvanları da bizim gibi can dostlarımızdır.
Onları yaşatmak, bizim hayvan hakları borcumuzdur.
This is the goal.
Outrage creates attention. But attention without action fades.
We need to turn that outrage into laws, enforcement and lasting protections for animals.
Not just anger on social media. Real change.
That’s how we honor Wang Wang. ❤️🐾

GLOBAL ANIMAL ADVOCACY: Turn outrage into change!
Key similarities in all these global and horrific animal cruelty cases were catalysing public pressure and mandating LEGISLATIVE action!
Right now? Our global focus is on protection and anti-cruelty LAWS for companion animals across China nation-wide.
We did it before, we can do it again!

Boiling a mother dog and her newborn pups for hot pot isn't food culture—it is sickening cruelty. How can a modern superpower still allow such barbaric abuse against humanity's most loyal companions? #China urgently needs #AnimalProtectionLaws! 🚫🇨🇳 @MFA_China@XHNews@ChinaDaily
Kind and righteous people around the world who are aware of the Wangwang incident refuse to let it simply become a thing of the past! We persist in speaking up for Wangwang—even if it takes years! #justiceforwangwang#stopanimalcruelty#speakupforwangwang#china
IMPORTANT NEWS FROM FACEBOOK:
The WangWang Case Enters New Phase as Cross-Border Efforts Gather Momentum
Formal proceedings begin in China as international cooperation expands across Asia
With formal proceedings being prepared in China while individuals and advocacy groups in several countries pursue information-gathering and accountability measures across borders.
The developments mark a significant shift from public outrage and online campaigning toward coordinated action aimed at establishing facts, pursuing available remedies and addressing wider concerns over animal cruelty.
Attorneys involved in the WangWang case have begun substantive preparations for civil proceedings in China.
With existing protections for companion animals remaining limited, those involved are examining available avenues to establish evidence and develop arguments that could have broader significance for future cases involving animal cruelty.
Organizers acknowledge that the process is largely uncharted territory. They say, however, that those willing to move forward are seeking to create a foundation that could eventually contribute to stronger protections and greater accountability.
Prominent Defense Attorney Speaks Out
Criminal defense attorney Zang Fanqing has publicly addressed the WangWang case in a video released under his real name.
Speaking about the incident in Jieyang, Guangdong, Zang called for stronger institutional protections for animals and greater attention to acts of cruelty.
His decision to speak publicly has attracted attention because prominent practicing attorneys with extensive experience in criminal cases have rarely addressed the issue so directly. Supporters say his intervention reflects a growing willingness among professionals to challenge longstanding gaps in the protection of animals.
Attention Turns to Japan
The #WangWang case has also drawn attention in Japan, where internet users have begun examining online platforms believed to have hosted or circulated animal-abuse material potentially connected to the incident.
Previous reports suggested that an individual associated with one of the platforms could be based in Japan. Japanese users are now exploring available channels for reporting the platform and seeking an official examination of the information they have gathered.
Organizers said outreach efforts launched on August 19 have received responses from individuals in Taiwan, Japan, S-Korea, Europe, The U.S, Philippines, India and Malaysia, who have expressed a willingness to provide expertise, exchange information and participate in discussions on coordinated action across jurisdictions.
The growing cooperation reflects the increasingly international nature of online animal-abuse cases, where material can be produced in one country, distributed through platforms operating elsewhere and viewed by audiences around the world.
For supporters of WangWang, the developments represent an important transition—from outrage and demands for accountability to organized, cross-border efforts seeking concrete results.
Whether these initiatives will lead to formal findings or broader changes remains to be seen. But for the first time, multiple groups across jurisdictions are beginning to work toward the same objective: ensuring that WangWang’s case does not disappear from public view and that those responsible are ultimately held accountable regardless of AGE and GENDER.

This matters.
Animal protection should never become a geopolitical issue. Wang Wang’s story was first carried by brave Chinese citizens who refused to look away.
We’re not fighting against China. We’re standing beside them, fighting for animals. ❤️🐾
#JusticeForWangWang#旺旺 #ワンワン #WangWang
Wangwang’s story began in China, and the first people to speak up for her were ordinary Chinese citizens who cared about animals and refused to look away. People around the world joined them because compassion doesn’t stop at a border.
But with U.S.–China relations already strained, even something as straightforward as opposing animal cruelty can become politically sensitive.
Despite the international attention Wangwang has received, I’ve seen only one story about her in mainstream U.S. media. There are many reasons a news organization might not cover a story, but the sensitivity surrounding China may make some outlets and public figures more hesitant to get involved.
I saw this firsthand yesterday. While speaking with a reporter, I asked several prominent American philanthropists who support this effort if I could mention their names. Some said no. Because the issue involves China, they preferred to remain anonymous. We’ve encountered similar hesitation from others we’ve reached out to.
That’s what happens when animal welfare gets caught up in geopolitics: People who genuinely care go quiet, and support becomes harder to find.
We cannot let that happen.
This movement belongs, first and foremost, to the Chinese animal advocates who started it. Our role is to stand beside them and keep the focus where it belongs: protecting animals and preventing cruelty.
Speaking up for Wangwang isn’t anti-China. It isn’t about choosing sides.
It’s about a dog who deserved better, and making sure others don’t suffer the same fate.

🚨 🐕 NEARLY $50,000 RAISED. AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.
Take a moment to think about that.
A small pocket of the crypto community came together around one heartbreaking story, and turned it into nearly $50,000 of REAL help for animals in China. ❤️🐶
People from different countries. Different backgrounds. Some buying just $1, others more.
Together, we’re building something that matters.
A shelter is being built in Wang Wang’s name with Harbin SHS, but our mission goes far beyond Wang Wang’s case.
We want to shine a light on every animal suffering in silence (Miiko too 😢) and prove just how powerful this community can be when it comes together for something good.
🎯 NEXT GOAL: $100,000 Then $250,000 DONATED.
We’ve already shown what a small community can do.
Now imagine what happens when the world joins us.
Now is not the time to slow down, it’s time to go harder than ever.
For Wang Wang. For all of them. ❤️
We’re only getting started. 🚀
Thank you to @leap_xyz and @donatedotgg for making this new era of crypto possible to make a real change in the world.

WHY in #China every time dogs are slaughtered in broad daylight on crowded streets, people just stand by and watch as these cats and dogs are brutally beaten to death—doing absolutely nothing to stop it—and instead just pull out their phones to film. Why is it ALWAYS like this?
