Colon cancer used to be an old person's disease.
Now it's killing people in their 30s and 40s.
According to the American Cancer Society, people born after 1990 are 4x more likely to get rectal cancer than their grandparents.
Most cases come down to 8 foods:
1. Bacon
Beneath Dublin Airport lies a secret.
You may have walked through it.
You may have checked in your bags there.
But it was never meant for passengers.
It was meant for trains. 🚇
This is the 100 year story of how Dublin never got a metro:
And the roadside vandals are still at it in West Cork. The 1st. of March prohibition is obviously irrelevant under the 'cut and back everything down' health and safety loophole.
Details were published in the @irishtimesnews of a legal threat to crafts people by national institution that represents them.
IT states ‘The Design and Craft’s Council of Ireland is threatening legal action against a member who is one of the country’s prominent crafters.
The tops gusts chart from #StormÉowyn shows how West was worst hit but further inland too with East and Southeast escaping worst. A lot of disturbing reports from the West in terms of the damage done. A tough week to 10 days ahead for many and sadly cold days ahead too.
Statement from the prime minister of Denmark 5 minutes ago;
Dear all
A brief update after a busy day. Met this morning with Greenland's Prime Minister Múte B. Egede, has been in telephone contact with a number of European leaders during the day, and of course we have discussed the events in the government leadership. In addition, we are well underway with preparations for the biannual National Assembly and Contact Committee meeting between the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Denmark, which will take place on Friday.
That is not all we can say in public, but you can be sure that we, from the government's side, are doing everything we can to safeguard Denmark's – and the Commonwealth's – interests. As I also said yesterday, the USA is Denmark's closest ally, and we only have one interest in strong cooperation. We are doing our part to support that - also in these days.
I think it is quite natural that the USA have agenda with the Arctic and Greenland. They have been for several decades, and in an increasingly turbulent world, the North Atlantic is only becoming more important. This calls for more – not less – cooperation between allies, and that is also one of the reasons why it has become a greater priority in NATO, for example.
Then there is the question of Greenlandic independence. I understand that this is a widespread desire in Greenland. And I would therefore like to reiterate that it is a decision that starts and ends in Nuuk. Greenland belongs to the Greenlanders, and as Premier of Greenland has said, it is the Greenlanders themselves who must define their future. At no time will Denmark oppose that process.
We have some dark chapters in our history together, which we, from the Danish side, must confront. And I will do my part to ensure that all three countries and all three peoples can see themselves – and experience themselves – as an equal part of a community. And preferably a community that develops and renews itself.
That is the task now. And then we must hold the alliance and partnership with the USA, in NATO and in the EU.

When Dutch Grand Prix organizers announced in 2019 the goal of going car-free, they were ridiculed: "That's impossible!” decried critics.
But they made the impossible possible in Zandvoort, shifting behaviour with a bold vision, targeted investment, and effective cooperation. 🧵
Today is the first anniversary of Sinéad’s passing. For those unable to join us in Dublin tonight, I am delighted to share that @NCDocumentary will be available to watch for free for the next seven days. Huge thanks to @lecinemaclub making this possible. https://t.co/3uMRtINwdG
