@JafarNajafov Great post. Could you address the potential legal problems for the top students in a follow up? From what you're saying it seems like small scale personal use is ignored, or is it? Asking for a friend.
@DrGregLittle2 As a teenager in the 1960s, I used to hang out w my cousin in the Meadowcroft shelter in Avella. Good place to sneak a cigarette or an occasional beer.
Auto worker in Georgia at the Hyundai electric car plant
He’s reporting ICE just showed up and HUNDREDS of illegal workers ran away. Hyundai is employing HUNDREDS OF ILLEGAL WORKERS at their plants
He says “80-90%” of the group he works with are illegal Venezuelans
“They are making electric cars. Today immigration came and hundreds of people left running, jumping fences”

The utmost importance of Intelligence in war, and the grim reality of what happened when the Military drafted over 300,000 low IQ men.
This number surpasses that of the 100 Years war (1337 to 1453).
Of those who served, 29 percent of Oxford matriculates and 26 percent of Cambridge matriculates were killed. A horrid, devastating loss.
REAL ESTATE: The @Doge team is causing a very real exodus from Washington DC. Housing listings are surging—over 14,825 in this snapshot alone. It’s less of a market shift and more of a mass evacuation, like rats fleeing a sinking ship.

Oh that's awful. Had a similar issue about a year ago. 9 out of ten of the people working with the pump were untrained or incompetent and the pump was not doing its job. If things seem as little weird, investigate and escalate. You'd be surprised how much info there is the manual on hospital stomach pumps.
One of the few things we know about diet and exercise with near certainty is that such interventions fail for most people, most of the time. Just ask Grok.
Numerous studies and meta-analyses have investigated the long-term effectiveness of weight loss diets, with consistent findings suggesting high rates of failure over time. Here's an overview based on available research:
UCLA Study (2007): Researchers analyzed 31 long-term diet studies and concluded that diets do not lead to sustained weight loss or health benefits for the majority of people. They found that most participants regained all the weight, plus more, within a few years, with only a small minority maintaining weight loss.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research: A study involving participants from "The Biggest Loser" showed that even with intense, structured weight loss programs, participants often regain significant weight. After six years, 13 out of 14 contestants had regained an average of 66% of the weight they lost on the show, with some ending up heavier than before. The study highlighted changes in resting metabolic rate as a potential physiological reason for weight regain, although it was noted that this might not be the primary cause.📷
Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses:
A review from the National Library of Medicine indicated that around 80% of people who lose a significant amount of weight do not maintain that loss for a year, with many regaining more than half within two years.📷
Another review by the same institution found that 83% of dieters gain more weight than they lost two years after dieting, and after five years, 50% of dieters are 11 pounds over their initial weight.📷
Long-Term Weight Loss Maintenance:
Research from the National Weight Control Registry shows that while some individuals do succeed in maintaining weight loss long-term, these are exceptions rather than the norm. Their strategies include high levels of physical activity, a low-calorie, low-fat diet, regular breakfast consumption, and consistent self-monitoring of weight. However, these successes are rare, with only about 20% of overweight individuals maintaining significant weight loss for more than a year.
Behavioral and Lifestyle Studies: Several studies have shown that behavioral interventions which include diet, exercise, and counseling can initially lead to weight loss, but the maintenance of this loss is challenging. The effectiveness of these interventions in preventing weight regain is minimal over the long term, with most benefits not detectable beyond two years.📷
Diet Trends and Failures: An analysis of popular diets like Atkins, Weight Watchers, and the Mediterranean diet found that while these diets can lead to initial weight loss, the sustainability and long-term weight maintenance are poor, with weight regain being common after the diet ends.📷
Posts on X have also echoed these findings, noting that many diets fail to produce long-term weight loss, with statistics often cited showing high rates of weight regain even after initial success.

These studies collectively indicate that the challenge of maintaining weight loss is significant, pointing to both physiological changes like metabolic adaptation and behavioral factors like adherence to lifestyle changes as reasons for diet failure over the long term.
@GrulkeLamonte Have you priced vs dealer cost from a modular home manufacturer? I can give you one that will frame to your specs, let you upgrade the finish on the outside on site. Last I checked they were doing a prefab foundation for extra space.
