@VexElectronica I agree with putting chief on ice for awhile. Don’t kill him. Bring him back when the time is right in an impactful and meaningful way. But before you do that activision needs to find footing with the universe and their own characters.

@Mixmaster226 Bungie didn’t miss with halo not once. I concede that I like *some* of the stuff that 343 put out. But that era of halo is wayyyy too messy and inconsistent. A soft reboot after halo 3 is the way to go. Maybe some of the best parts of what 343 did can be slowly introduced. Maybe.

@Mr_Rebs_ The only thing I knew about hintze prior to all of this is that he was labelled as the man who saved the MCC? I was led to believe he had a pretty good rep in that respect. I remember at the time he had good PR amongst halo fans compared to the rest of 343.

If I were Activision and I wanted to test the waters with Halo I'd do an ODST game in the COD engine made by the team who made Infinite Warfare. Keep it to boots on the ground stakes during a part of the Covenant war. No mentions of 343 retcons.

I’ve said on another thread the safest way to approach it is give fans another game set during the covenant war following a different Spartan/team.

Then figure out if you’re going to wipe anything that came out after bungies masterpieces or rejig the lore.

On a real note, I paid good money for that content why wouldn’t I be happy that it’s returning? As an average consumer what could I have done to stop them vaulting content? I don’t recall ever “accepting” it. Don’t recall any Destiny fan accepting it.

@NotScrimRules Okayyy and?? I’m aware of that .The last update we had was that they had stopped all support for D2 followed by mass layoffs.
Bringing back vaulted content is a positive step.

Fully aware anything meaningful will take years.

- bungie reveals that they plan on telling FUTURE stories (new content)
- bungie deciding to add back vaulted content that is a massive undertaking
