Whether you like the battle skirt, the panties, shorts or whatever, we need to find a new design for Wonder Woman that lacks the star spangled American-esque motif and I love when artists explore other options
@Sol_Snarkz@_TheSmartAlec1@RedLReviews IIRC even back in the day they said that it has nothing to do with the comics. It just came out around the time and they thought the title is cool, so they took it.
@hernandy_s Misunderstanging a comic as straighforward about it's message as WoT is already weird, but how did nobody tell her? Like, she worked together with the writer of the book and her boss read the source material, but nobody mentioned that she got it wrong?
Also, the big difference is that with the MCU it's obvious that they're gonna deviate from the source material.
With Supergirl, for the first two years of development they promoted this movie as an adaptation of WoT, then apparently left out everything that people liked in it.
One of the interesting things about this comic accuracy thing with Woman of Tomorrow is I wasn’t hearing this about Any marvel movie.
Like Age of Ultron, Civil War, Thor Ragnarok…
Marvel will take parts of a huge event or saga and make it unrecognizable but there are no issues
>no games
>no tv show
>war criminal on her mainline run (who has just killed her)
>mainline writer who didn't even want to write her
>promised 3 years ago for something that will never happen
>joker and krypto getting a show before her
like bro, they actually deadass hate her 😭
Superman has an ongoing animated show and is leading the new DCU and batman has an ongoing animated show and is leading the elseworlds movies and if you pitch a wonder woman project they send one of tom kings cia buddies to torture your loved ones
@bornposting After one point every Kara-Lena scene feels like they're only seconds away from confessing their love to each other and even if you aren't into that ship, it feels frustrating to know nothing will happen.
@hernandy_s This isn't necessarily a Supergirl thing. Warner is famous about taking down/demonetizing videos that use footage from their trailers. Followed a film critic back in the day who constantly complained about it back when WW2017 came out.
#Supergirl is a “super-horrendous” comic book movie “with the worst script I can remember,” reads Variety’s review from @OwenGleiberman.
James Gunn said he wasn’t going into production on any movie until the script was rock-solid. For that was the overriding problem with the superhero overkill era: the films had lousy scripts, which served as grids for layering visual effects.
Gunn was right to want to take the comic-book genre back to the basics of well-structured screenwriting. So what has he done in his second DC outing? He’s given us a comic-book movie with the worst script I can remember.

@hernandy_s Nah, they're obsessed with that 60's Spider-Man feeling and Peter being a kid. They would surely take the chance to actually revert him back to a teenager, bring back Gwen and erase decades of development.
@RedLReviews They should've just made him a Maul-like character.
He thinks he's the THE GUY, only to realise later on that he's barely a footnote in the overarching story.

@Wikkerman99 Yeah, obviously they're using them because they're getting adaptations and not because they're some of the most popular Marvel character who would definitely have people buying the book just for them.
