It's in these quiet moments I think about the futility of certain things...

@agbnufc_ Has anyone truly analysed and correlated club success versus rate of managerial turnover? Intuitively, I suspect that for most, high turnover and knee jerk decisions haven't worked well aside from a few outliers of super wealthy clubs with no spending restrictions.

@agbnufc_ It amazes me how many so-called "elite" clubs jump from manager to manager with minimal due diligence and get praised for doing so. Yet they scout and analyse even the most minor of on-field signings for years before taking a risk...then crucify the manager if the data guys fail.

@NickDryden1 Well maybe true (although I don't personally believe that any European comp aside from the CL has much of a draw). If you had a choice of being a big cheese at nufc and a good chance of Europe next year or the bench at arsenal, what would you do?

Has anyone considered Odegaard from Arsenal? Seems to have dropped down the pecking order (knee issues??). Arsenal might be willing to cash in on him since Eze is favoured for their current formation and would be big profit. I love the way he plays between the lines.

@GianfrancoShoIa In hindsight it was obvious that a deal was more or less in place for Gordon when Howe stopped playing him. I'm ok with this so far - at least we appear to have a strategy and we're implementing it within days of the season end. Time will tell if the new approach is better.

So, I'm struggling to see a world where we go into next season with all 3 of Woltemade, Wissa and Osula still at #nufc .

Osula has gone from certainty to being sold to being nailed on to stay in the space of a few months. Nick has gone the opposite way but he's young. Wissa?

@agbnufc_ @NUFC Pif moving money around and probably just protecting the perimeter of areas of interest for expansion or new stadium. Even if we move to Leaves Park, terrace will still be of strategic importance either due to objections or future commercial opportunities.

So the club (under which operating company?) have purchased Leaves Terrace from another middle eastern investment company, Blacksand Real Estate, who are strategically connected to PIF Saudi. So Perhaps they'll keep flipping it back and forth to raise revenue? 😁 #nufc

lIf you do anything today, watch @MaeveHalligan at the Cambridge Union. I genuinely think this was the first time many people in that room were confronted with the hard reality of the trans debate, rather than the slogans that usually surround it.

@BuckAngel was exceptional: calm, articulate, humane. Ultimate respect.

And then there was Helen Webberley. I remember once thinking the criticism directed at her by GC women was excessive, especially the claim she was ‘pure evil’. After hearing her speak, I no longer think that. She is totally insincere. I can deal with hard ideologues- they believe they are telling the truth; they are genuine, @HelenWebberley is different.

One audience member, a trans-identified male and former patient of hers, stood to speak during points of information. His account of how he had been treated was deeply disturbing.
