The FULL Aikol story, start to finish

(this is all on speculation and the info i found, nothing is 100% confirmed by CZ)

1) ~2024 — Aikol is raised by Kyrgyzstan’s president: Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov begins raising a Taigan puppy named Aikol (Айкөл). The Taigan is Kyrgyzstan’s national dog breed, while “Aikol” means “noble-hearted” and is an epithet of Manas, the country’s national hero.

2) 23 October 2025 — CZ arrives in Kyrgyzstan: Trump pardons CZ. According to the NYT, CZ had just landed in Kyrgyzstan when the news broke and spent that evening having dinner with Japarov.

3) ~24–25 October 2025 — Japarov gives Aikol to CZ: During a walk in Ala-Archa National Park, Japarov gives CZ the Taigan. A post from the visit by Farhat A. Imanov says that “as part of this visit,” the president presented CZ with a Taigan named Aikol, which he had personally raised for more than a year. The photo shows late-autumn trees and dry ground.

4) 25 October 2025 — CZ reacts publicly: CZ replies, “It was beautiful!” under the X post about the visit.

5) 27 October 2025 — The first AIKOL coin launches: The original AIKOL, 0x2c4a0ecb25cf51db87418bdcc3abb612707e4444, launches on https://t.co/uWIxrDQuOF. It briefly spikes to around $110K before falling to roughly $3–4K, where it remains effectively dead for about 11 months. Its existence alone proves the Aikol name was already public in October 2025.

6) October 2025 to mid-2026 — Aikol moves to Abu Dhabi: Aikol eventually moves to CZ’s villa in Abu Dhabi. The exact arrival date isn’t public; gifted animals can travel later because of export and import paperwork.

7) February 2026 — CZ and Japarov meet again: According to the NYT, CZ goes skiing with Japarov. This is not when CZ received the dog, even though the article mentions the skiing trip and the dog in the same sentence.

8) Summer 2026 — NYT meets Aikol: A NYT reporter visits CZ’s villa and is “greeted at the door by his two dogs”: the Taigan and Broccoli, his Belgian Malinois. CZ tells the reporter that the president originally wanted to give him “a full-sized tent… I said no to the tent, and then he insisted on the dog.”

9) 1 October 2026 — The NYT profile is published: The NYT publishes its CZ profile and mentions that his Taigan was a gift from Kyrgyzstan’s president, but does not mention the dog’s name.
