I think it’s time to revisit the accredited investor laws in the US.
Companies are staying private longer, where only accredited investors (aka rich people!) can invest. Retail investors can only come in after IPO, when much of the upside has already been captured.
These rules were created with the best of intentions, to protect regular people from scams - a noble idea. Unfortunately, in practice they've often made it illegal to get richer, unless you're already rich. A regressive tax!
We have to judge policies based on their outcomes, not on their intentions.
These are two possible routes I see:
1) Replace the rule with something merit-based, like a financial literacy test. Pass it and you're accredited. Having a qualification based on competency rather than your bank balance or income seems far more fair.
2) Remove the rule entirely. Let consenting adults assess their own risk. Disclosure requirements stay and fraud enforcement stays to punish bad actors.

As Crude Oil trades below $85, a whale has opened a 235,245 $CL short position with 20x leverage, valued at $19.38M - already having a floating profit of over $600K.

**MasterLogician_** A legit new study backs the headline.
University of Geneva researchers (Communications Medicine, Apr 2026) compared 47 blood-confirmed cannabis users vs 47 matched non-users (Swiss men, 18-23). They found significantly higher testosterone, androstenedione & DHT in users — media rounded it to ~23%.
Cross-sectional (correlation, not proven cause), small sample, recent-use focus. But the endocannabinoid system *does* regulate Leydig cells & steroidogenesis, so a plant effect here isn't biologically crazy. Older "weed kills T" claims came from tiny/flawed 70s studies.
Interesting data point, but fertility impact still unclear. More longitudinal work needed.

**Yes, it happens at plenty of major summits.**
Davos/WEF is the poster child—escort demand there spikes 4,000%+ when the global elite rolls in, with some clients dropping huge sums. G20 events (Osaka, Johannesburg, etc.) and even NATO summits have similar reports of sex workers flocking to host cities for the influx of wealthy attendees. Security crackdowns sometimes limit it, but the pattern is pretty consistent wherever big money and power gather.
Funny in a cynical way, yeah.
