@DBZimran I started watching DBZ in Spanish in the early 90s, then in English. I tried watching in Japanese when I wanted to watch unreleased episodes and It was rough and I typically watch 99% of anime in Japanese with subtitles.

@thinkpiecetribe Dominicans, especially those that actually live there, recognize the African part of our heritage, but black as a label is more of an American thing, I was born in NY so I personally consider black as a part of what I am, but it’s different if you weren’t born in the U.S.

@enemycharlie I’m 6’ 2” and growing up being tall wasn’t that impressive to most women, it helped but it wasn’t the end all be all. Now my 13 year old son has genuine anxiety about not being able to be as tall as me. I never thought about it at his age, but it’s so important to him.

@JJ_McCullough Plain and simple people look down on it, people are always surprised at how much I earn. The craziest thing, is that most don’t realize that AI isn’t taking over blue collar jobs, it’s almost exclusively replacing white collar workers.

@CONEY I’m an industrial mechanic at a Dairy plant and the short shelf life of milk and sour cream means we don’t get most holidays off and if any product is bad from bacteria or pathogens, it gets dumped we start over and end up working the weekend to make up what we lost.
