This reminds me when I was at this Airbnb pool in Santo Domingo, DR.
A Haitian-🇺🇸 & a Black-🇺🇸 tourists were speaking to me, saying how astonishing they were that DR was very economically advanced compare to Haiti. How there were Louis Vuitton & Rolex stores which according to them was “surprising”.

I could see the sadness & inferiority complex in the face of the Haitian guy.

Haiti being next to the Dominican Republic have really done some damaged to the image of Dominicans.

Many use black Haitians to define the Economic, Historical & Racial make up of Dominicans just because they make border with Haiti
