It’s time for Ovechkin to be removed from the NHL for his support of a mass murderer of Ukrainians. Shame on you.

Learn how to make your own graphics in whatever program you wanna use, or hire someone to do them for you and stop using AI slop on your restaurant menu or whatever else, you look genuinely stupid.

I do think some fans need to remember that the players do, indeed, want it more than you do. You do not care more than them. They're the ones out there doing this.

Questioning heart and effort is frankly cruel and stupid.

I'm Italian. I just got back from Rome.

Over dinner, old friends and I started arguing about the same thing we always argue about: which cities in Italy are genuinely incredible but nobody ever talks about?

We went back and forth for hours. By the end of the night, we had a list.

7 hidden cities that most people, including most Italians, will never think to visit, let alone move to.

No crowds. No tourist markup. Insane quality of life.

We should cancel April fools this year. There is no prank topping our reality.

Great players are shaped by heavy defeats.

Juraj Slafkovský and Šimon Nemec were extremely disappointed yesterday after the 1–6 blowout loss to Finland in the bronze medal game at the Milan Olympics. Both are wired to win. Both want to win every time they step on the ice. But every great player has had to go through painful defeats.

In the first photo, they are devastated after the thrashing by Russia in the final of the 2021 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Piešťany. That tournament was, in many ways, a victory for them. They showed the world exactly what they were capable of. Slovak youth teams usually just take part in the prestigious summer event. The group built around them and Dalibor Dvorský came in as a contender.

It gradually led not only to Olympic bronze in Beijing, but especially to the NHL Draft, where they went first and second overall. They are NHL players now. Slafkovský is on a clear path toward stardom, and Nemec — I hope — will get a club where he receives the same trust and space he has in the national team.

Both are surely motivated to come back stronger. And the future may yet point Slovak hockey in a brighter direction.

For anyone who would like to hear Mark Carney’s outstanding Davos speech in full here it is. This is what true global leadership looks like.

Canada should be immensely proud today, because they are leading the fight back when others dare not.
