@JoshBoswell JDT only worked because he had solid foundations to work on! Those foundations have been smashed to bits since JDT got let down in his 2nd season. Time to reset, unite and solidify!
@Joebrfc95 I was furious about not tying O’Neill down! Relieved and happy we’ve gone for TM, even though I was glad to see him go last time! Safe pair of hands are desperately needed. Club has changed since he left us in a decent position. Needs a new rebuild.
@BRFC4Life Sunderland fans love him! Got playoffs with them and is spike very highly of by alot of players (Diallo being one) far better than our current bunch! Would you prefer another Ismael type? Because I’m sure that’s who gestede would’ve likely gone for!
@Champchatpod24 Happy to have a safe pair of hands in charge for next season. Too close to the drop last year and a poor/risky appointment could’ve been the final nail. Back to basics for a proper rebuild!
@bav_aled I hope most rovers fans end up seeing it this way! We are currently 1 more managerial mistake away from a disaster. Need to consolidate again and build up some assets and a solid foundation. TM has proven he can do that. A 2 year rebuild would enable us to have another gamble.
@Rovers@readrovers I think this is exactly what we need! Laid some solid foundations last time, but the club failed to push on and that good work has since been eroded. Time to rebuild again and get back to being a steady 2nd tier club! TMBWA!!!!
@_ElliottJackson Are we not operating at something like 120% of our revenue? So more cutbacks to be expected? Only a matter of time til we are in League One now. This type of change will rebalance the whole league.
@RohanQuinn As someone who felt he left a season too late last time, he definitely steadied the ship and allowed us to experiment with our feeble “project” attempt that only really lasted a season under JDT. He’s exactly what we need now, or someone like him/MO’N!
@readrovers I’m glad they’re not in. Give em a rest! Keep eyes away from Morishita too! Plus, when you look at the names ahead of them, I can see why they’re not taking Championship players to their World Cup!
@RohanQuinn If we wouldn’t have offered him a new deal and he scores 15 goals next season, he’d be off on a free the year after or for a bargain price next summer. Nothing wrong with this at all!
@readrovers Needs to be a “steady Eddie”, MON/Mowbray type! We don’t have the players to be taking risks on foreign managers who want to play good football.
@BRFC1875_ Tbh, I think most of those (newer) players would be ok if they have experienced championship players in front of them. Sell some yes, expecially the ones with only a yr left. But I’m more interested in the type of player we get in. No more randomers this summer. Need experience!
@bigfellabeaty I totally agree about Leicester, but WBA, Oxford and Portsmouth are not actually in the worst runs of form! Our next 2 games are against the 2 form teams in the league. This is going down to the wire! Sheff U feels like the Big One!
@GayoCaesar@blackburnendpod Would you not want O’Neill in charge of a League One rebuild though, if we’re to go down? I’m not even sure he would accept a contract offer no matter which league we are in, but I would absolutely want a calm head like him in charge the rebuild, as opposed to a foreign hothead.
Taxi for Rudy. He’s asset‑stripped our club, replaced proven quality with some players nowhere near this level, and left us weaker than we’ve been in years. We’re fighting to stay up and he’s ripped the squad apart. It’s taken us backwards, not forwards. Complete incompetence.
