@OmariZimbabwe The response in my inbox shows that my issue wasn't investigated. The response is merely a box ticking exercise to give the illusion of a prompt response
@herbert_gomba Good day Honorable, @cohsunshinecity traffic officers clamping for failure to display valid parking discs while City Park is encouraging the use of digital platforms such as *192#.
@cohsunshinecity Today my car was clamped for not displaying a valid parking disc, despite confirmation from the City Park system that my parking was valid. In this era of digital channels such as the *192# platform which do not print discs, why is this archaic law being enforced
@Munyah_Wacho My first degree was in Marketing. I later pivoted to Data Science (which is a hybrid IT and Business domain) at Masters Level. Now I'm managing a Data Science team.
In summary, while CAs bring indispensable financial expertise to organizations, it's important to recognize that data professionals, such as data scientists, possess complementary skills that enable them to lead organizations effectively in an increasingly data-centric world.
While CAs play a crucial role in the business world, it's important to recognize that other professionals, such as Data professionals bring unique expertise to the table that complements the financial acumen of CAs. Here are a few points to consider:
-Why are Chartered Accountants (CAs) going to remain on top of the industry even if other professionals complain?
-I am not saying other professionals are not learning and l will never say that!
-When you sit for a CTA,ITC,APC exam which are the 3 stages after a degree that one goes through to become a CA these are the things you face!!
-The exams are real life practical scenario based, the main goal will be to dissect business into small pieces, analyze them, critiquing them from all angles and pass viable recommendations.
-At one point people need to understand that a CA and an accountant are two different people, the latter prepares accounts and ensures that people comply with set standards
-A Ca is a decision maker, someone who uses numbers and facts to give objective and logical advice!
-Let me give an example an organization with an accountant he will focus on delaying rent payments bcz the costs is high and he will manage them by negotiating price down e.t.c making liquidity flexible for the organization!
-While a CA will seat down, realize that we are paying rentals of about $25 000 per month because of our location but we can change our location to another one which costs about $15 000 and will consider other implications of changing to a new site and decide that the company head office need to be moved!
-If you place a CA in a mining company he will understand the key revenue generation mechanism and come up with more ways of generating income like finding new uses for by-products e.t.c
-I remember during Covid 19 we got to understand the whole value chain and implications of Covid 19 in depth bcz you will be placed in China in a practical exam and have a global picture!
-While engineers and other professionals who are busy whining about Ca dominance will take MBA at UZ which give them basic financial knowledge equivalent to A level commercials wants to compete with these people.
-Apart from exams,CAs to qualify they take 3 good years doing audit for most of these companies by the time one qualifies would have at least audited 5 listed companies and many other companies across industries!
-Other professionals still need to even work on their communication skills and have a global picture!
-Until you start to develop interest in other fields like finance and having a mind that looks at organization in a broader picture, the CA reign is here forever. An Engeneer can’t read a balance sheet but a CA can tell you that this machine has output of how much and its downtime is costing!
-The higher you go in management like CEO and managing directors the more you are expected to have a wholistic approach in thinking,
Think legal
Think finance
Think sales
Think HR
Think Shareholders
Think Government and taxes
Think broader and inclusive
-Tell me who can do this better than a CA?
4. Interdisciplinary collaboration: Data professionals are often adept at working with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, operations, and IT.
REPOST for awareness
The East and Horn of Africa Election Observers Network has released a statement in solidarity with detained @ercafrica and @ZESN1 local election observers.
They are urging the Zimbabwean authorities to immediately release the observers and return the confiscated materials.
ZanuPf and @PoliceZimbabwe’s senseless raid of the ERC and ZESN data centre, arrest and detention of 41 observers further deteriorates the credibility of the elections which was grossly tarnished by @ZECzim’s WEAPONISED INCOMPETENCE which resulted in serious voter suppression across the country.

They are innocent. They did not commit any crime. The CSOs they work for are legal and operate according to Zimbabwean law.
They were even accredited by @ZECzim to do the work they were doing!
LET’s DEMAND THEIR FREEDOM!
