You cannot enter into relationship with Christ if not through historical, concrete conditions, in which you are moved; otherwise, our thought about Christ is abstract.
It is better to exaggerate in excess than in deficiency. It is better to be indiscriminate in proposing rather than too timid, but we shouldn’t make others feel guilty if they cannot help. Because this availability and sensibility are a grace that God has given you.
The Mystery, that of which everything consists and which everything cries out, onne cosa clama, is evident to the heart of a man who has the dimension of the people.
What is the real need of another? This way of viewing things is unclear, because it depends on what we believe to be others’ needs.... I do not know what the other truly needs, nor can I measure or possess it. It is a measure that I do not possess; it is a measure that is in God.
I am able to understand the word “charity” when I remember that the Son of God, loving us did not send us His riches (as He was able to do); instead He became poor like one of us: He “shared” our nothingness.
We do charitable work in order to live like Christ.
The supreme law of our being is to share in the being of others, to live in communion. Only Jesus Christ reveals this to us, because He knows what everything truly is, who God, from whom we are born, truly is, what Being truly is....

"No explosion, wherever it may resound, over the earth, under the earth, or in the boundless spaces of the cosmos, can ever deafen the heart of those who have heard these electrifying words of the Gospel: ‘The Word became flesh.’"

There are many companionships. I don't say, "Choose one," but follow the one that Christ has put you in, that Christ has had you meet, the one that first struck you convincingly.
Our Lady of the ‘Fiat,’ on whom the Holy Spirit descended, restore among us the harmony that comes from God. May you, our ‘living fountain of hope,’ water the dryness of our hearts. In your womb Jesus took flesh; help us to foster the growth of communion. /2
