Deberíamos prescribir más "cambios en el patrón alimenticio". La AHA acaba de actualizar sus recomendaciones, y de manera muy sencilla:

🔴Aumentar cereales integrales: trigo integral, la avena, el arroz integral, la quinoa, la cebada y el centeno.

🔴Las legumbres (frijoles, guisantes y lentejas) y los frutos secos son buenas fuentes de proteínas y son ricos en grasas insaturadas y fibra.

🔴Las grasas animales (por ejemplo, la mantequilla) y los aceites tropicales (por ejemplo, el aceite de coco, la manteca de cacao y el aceite de palma) tienen un contenido relativamente alto de grasas saturadas; elige mejor aceites vegetales no tropicales (por ejemplo, los aceites de soja, canola y oliva)

🔴Elige untables a base de aceites vegetales ricos en grasas insaturadas en lugar de mantequilla

🔴Entre las buenas fuentes de fibra se incluyen verduras, frutas, cereales integrales, frutos secos, legumbres y semillas.

🔴 Consumir regularmente pescado y productos del mar, reducir carnes rojas
