The way Moses wrote wasn't unlike the way people who write musicals stop the story every once in a while to break into song. The reason Moses would do this is because there are emotions and situations and tensions that a human being feels in his life but can't explain...

John wrote his essay a long time after Christ had left so he was very old, probably nearly ninety years old, & this was back when communities loved old people. They didn't put them in homes to watch television...
...but because it is so scatterbrained, & has virtually no charts and graphs, I am actually quite surprised the Bible sells. Perhaps it's those lovely & colorful maps, which puzzles me because they aren't even current.
The Bible concludes with various creepy hallucinations that, in some mysterious way, explain the future, in which, apparently, we all slip into Dungeons & Dragons outfits & fight the giant frog people. I forget how it goes exactly, & I mean no disrespect...
You can't memorize poetry and stay a fake. Sooner or later you start understanding what these poets are saying and it makes you feel as though life is something quite special with certain layers of meaning to it.
