Yesterday I had a 45-minute Tesla FSD test drive in Parsdorf. FSD navigated the eastern Munich traffic perfectly — zero interventions, confident, flawless, mind-blowing 🤯✅
Unforgivable that EU bureaucracy (and corruption) keeps blocking us Tesla customers to use this life-saving tech for years now 😡
Huge thanks to @elonmusk and the entire Tesla team for pushing this incredible technology forward against all naysayers 👏🚀

So wait… Tesla hyped us all up all day, had us all thinking this was gonna be some epic moment, and then didn’t even give us a live feed to the keynote on X when they’ve done so for way less exciting events? Didn’t even let us enjoy the moment with them unless we sent them 900 handwritten letters or took 500 cab rides in 2 days? 😂😂
I won’t make this a long drawn out series of shitposts and will move on after this, but this is another routine letdown from Tesla. They really just cannot miss. Like if there’s a reason they can’t stream it I’d totally understand, but why not tell us instead of getting us all hyped up? They obviously knew we all thought they’d stream it, since they do for every event like this.
Def not wasting time giving a fuck about any of their events anymore.
I don't think people realize what the Tesla team had to go through to get here, to Cybercab launch day
When Elon and Karpathy first started talking about their bet on pure vision self-driving, people thought they were nuts. The critics screamed bloody murder. They claimed millions would die, and that betting on pure vision was horribly irresponsible, and that it would never work.
They even came after me. When I said I believed pure vision self-driving could work Tesla short sellers doxxed me, blackmailed me, and sued me claiming I was secretly working for Tesla. What I experienced was horrible, but it was only 1% of what was directed at Elon and Tesla.
I have so much respect for Elon and the engineers who persisted and pursued pure vision, and end to end deep learning as a solution for self-driving (another approach people also said would never work, but has proven to be a dramatic leap forward). It is not easy to push forward with so many people screaming at you that what you're doing is wrong, and horrible, and you're going to kill someone. It's so easy to go with the crowd and try the same approach as everyone else, and so hard to go against conventional wisdom.
But they thought through things with first principles, and made a big bet that everyone was wrong — and they were right. Now Tesla has proven that you can safely run a driverless Robotaxi service using an end to end model and pure vision. Because this technology path exists, self-driving will scale much faster than with legacy approaches alone, saving countless lives.
Even if you believe that the legacy approach to self-driving is better, we need to make every car on the road as safe as it can possibly be. Tesla has 10 million+ cars on the road, and millions of self-driving users. Because the Tesla team built a system that can actually run on millions of real cars in the field with just a software update, millions of people now have the protection of autonomous systems who would not have otherwise.
Thank you @elonmusk and @Tesla_AI for pushing forward to bring us this technology against incredible hate and resistance. The bravery, persistence, and brilliance you've shown has earned a place in the history books of Silicon Valley. You have changed so many of your customers lives, and the crazy part is this is just the beginning. So many more lives will be saved and changed in the years to come. I hope you are as proud of yourselves as we are of you.
Warmonger von der Leyen vows once again to increase pressure on Russia.
Meanwhile, five years of senseless sanctions and funding Nazis in Ukraine have gutted the EU.
She won't stop until Europe is in ruins.
I do not want more years because I am afraid of dying. I want them because I am not finished being curious, and curiosity is the one appetite that has never once shrunk with age.
