How ONSA Coordinated Multi-Agency Intelligence, Operations That Secured Release of Kidnapped Oyo Pupils, Teachers

A sustained intelligence-driven operation coordinated by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) has resulted in the successful rescue of 44 pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State.

The victims, who were kidnapped by terrorists in Oriire Local Government Area on May 15, 2026, were freed on Friday after weeks of coordinated surveillance, intelligence gathering and tactical operations carried out by multiple security and intelligence agencies.

The Office of the National Security Adviser, through the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), played a central coordinating role by synchronising intelligence efforts, operational planning and collaboration among participating agencies. The mission was led on the ground by troops of the @HQNigerianArmy under the General Officer Commanding 2 Division, Major General C.R. Nnebeife.

The operation also featured the combined efforts of Special Forces from the @HQNigerianArmy, @NigerianNavy and @NigAirForce, alongside the Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG, the Department of State Services @OfficialDSSNG, the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps @NSCDC_Official, as well as local vigilantes, hunters and members of the Amotekun Corps, whose collective efforts contributed to the successful rescue of the victims.

ILLEGAL NDC, ILLEGAL ORDER, DISASTROUS ENDING

Just for the purpose of learning and acquiring more understanding, some of us like to really look into the details of events, especially when it comes to Politics and Governance in Nigeria space....

So, I tried to even check beyond political affiliation and for ACCADEMIC PURPOSE, what exactly was the issue NDC as a political party had from the beginning that led to this "Registered by Court Order" previously written on @inecnigeria website?

In order not to make it too long because that has been the complaint about my writing, I'll make it a thread to make it easier to read. So, let's start from the beginning...

NEW PARTY REGISTRATION:
Immediately after 2023 elections, 171 political associations wrote to the Independent National Electoral Commission @inecnigeria seeking registration as a political party and the Constitution gives this right to every Nigerian....Freedom of Association.

Please NOTE: @PeterObi and the Obidient Movement NEVER approached INEC and they were NEVER part of these 171 associations. Obi never had any intention to START or BUILD anything.... I challenge them to show any evidence that they were part of these 171 Associations.

Two Individuals tried to register Obidient movement as a political party out of these 171 names, but Peter Obi's close associates were not in it.

There was "Obidient People Party" OPP by Barry Avotu Johnson as Protem CHAIRMAN using the address No. 3 Mekanbo Close, Along Durban Street, Wuse II Abuja, Nigeria.
Then there was another "Obidients People Party" OPP, the same Logo, no address, no Chairman name, no information at all provided.....

They obviously were not qualified even before the process began because you couldn't have had two different Association

Another thing about the Dantata dynasty is how everyone is still hustling in that trade identity.

I have a couple of folks from the family as acquaintance (in their 30s) and they take business very seriously. They flex like the buttie they are, yes, but are still business savvy.

I also notice they trade among each other a lot. They prioritize each other in supply and service contracts - especially logistics. With exceptions, before they give outsiders contract, they first check whether there is a member of the family doing it.

Virtually every Dantata person I know is a contractor with Dangote Group or MRS.

Saying you will generate, transmit and distribute 10k MW of electricity in 4 years is a lot of commitment. The sort that’d cost you upwards of $30b. That you saw it in Egypt and Indonesia won’t make it cheaper. If it did, I saw it in Germany in 2016, it still isn’t cheaper.

When you are asked how? The answer cannot be “just trust me”. This is not, “I love you. I’ll be there for you” stuff. Even that comes at a cost. Love isn’t free.

In separate interviews with Seun Okinbaloye and Rufai Oseni, @PeterObi has refused to answer how.

Because he doesn’t know how. And if he ever does learn how, he still won’t admit what it would take to get those 10k MW into homes. He doesn’t have it in him to utter uncomfortable truths.

His entire political identity since The Platform platformed him is governance as goody-goody. Governance without cost. Governance without painful decisions. Politics of Lamba. Governance of castles in the sky. The governance he couldn’t practise as governor. Because it doesn’t exist.
