@KRUDLER62@essendonfc I have only just been able to watch anything from the Club as I was so upset. Spike spoke extremely well.
Welsh lookeed like he was struggling, bright red and I still think he is full of it, i believe this was what he wanted all along
I have absolutely no bad will against Spike.
@Mickw1807 I have sent Welsh an email to ask him questions that I have regarding some decisions the board has made.
I hope that he has the decency to respond.
@Mickw1807 I love Spike and I have only just been able to bring myself to watch anything from the club as I was so upset.
Spike spoke really well and I genuinely hope he can get James on board, it will help make the treatment of James bearable.
I still think Welsh wanted Spike all along.
Regardless of the outcome I hope James Hird knows the Essendon faithful still adore him and would have loved to see him have a chance at redemption!
To go through everything he had to endure and to front up and put your hand up to coach this club again is a true testament to his courage and character!
A true champion on and off the field!
We love ya Hirdy ❤️

The division among @essendonfc fans is sad to see.
The anti-Hird brigade are now extremists in their support for McVeigh & enjoying kicking fellow fans when they’re down & genuinely hurting after feeling betrayed yet again.
What a ‘unifying decision, @Andrew12Welsh.…

Albanese has called on the Liberal Party to explain how far-right extremists and neo-Nazis wearing Liberal t-shirts were paid by the Exclusive Brethren to disrupt the 2025 election.
“It’s time the Liberal Party answered how all this occurred.” 💥
It’s like a portion of Essendon fan’s didn’t care who was coach. They just wanted to win an ‘I told you so’ competition.“We will support whoever’s chosen”
Many of us who favoured Hird didn’t care for one-upping fellow fans. All we wanted was the best candidate to coach our club.
Hird outlining that he has been approached by multiple other clubs and, if as is likely he misses out on the Essendon job, he will assess his options and potentially coach elsewhere next year.
He also stated that he has not been spoken to or asked to undertake any other role at Essendon should the club go in another direction with the coaching position. I find that staggering!
To think someone of James’ stature, passion, knowledge and acumen hasn’t even been approached about potentially taking on a football management or senior football department role at the club is unfathomable.
Surely you would want someone as driven as Hird, and someone who could be such a unifying force for Essendon, remaining at the club rather than potentially taking all of that experience and passion to another club next year!

@essendonfc social media team, please keep comments open when the official announcement is made. It's going to be salivating reading that Welshy and the board should read.
@RichardHallett8 The least Welsh could have done was call the 3 unsuccessful candidates and thank them for participating in the process but inform them they missed out. It’s just common bloody courtesy. The second it was leaked to the media, 3 phone calls should have been made straight away.
