@thosethatcan Won't make it better, but it's nothing your daughter did. She's doing a great job and I'm sorry someone felt they could treat her like that, everyone deserves basic respect.
@thosethatcan Worked in a big orange supermarket, had a women yell at me for numerous things in a minute- saying hello, offering to pack her bag, scanning things too quickly. Made me want to cry and remember it over 10 years later. It sucks. But, I remember the kind people much more easily!
It's so rare we hear victims say this in court.
Every single time Gisele Pelicot lays waste to the Defence's patronising, humiliating and misogynistic attempts to undermine her, I cheer, for her and all victims.

A French woman whose husband has admitted drugging her and inviting more than 80 men to rape her over the course of a decade has said she “was sacrificed on the altar of vice” and treated “like a rag doll”.
Gisèle Pélicot told the court she was “never complicit” in the sexual acts and had not pretended to be asleep - but was urged by the judge that in order to respect the presumption of innocence, it had been agreed in court not to use the word rape but “sex scene”.
During court proceedings, it was revealed that one of the men is HIV positive, and he was invited by her husband Dominique to rape Gisèle more than six times. Dominique did not require the rapists to wear a condom.
After a medical examination, Gisèle learned that she was carrying four sexually-transmitted diseases.
“Inside me, it is a scene of devastation,” Gisèle said. “I no longer have an identity. … I don’t know if I’ll ever rebuild myself.”
Gisèle Pélicot waived her right to anonymity in order for the crimes to be made public.
A pregnant woman and six children are amongst the twelve people who died when their boats capsized in the Channel, French officials say. I don’t know how much more horror needs to occur before politicians will find the nerve to provide safe routes for asylum. Few words are left.
we have literal psychological evidence that having to constantly ask a partner to do things exacerbates stress, burnout, and overall poor mental health.
Spare me the big boohoo about the cost of immigration when you're out there on the streets burning down libraries and police stations and flooding the courts and costing the tax payers more money than any immigrant you've ever met.
I keep thinking how 3 little girls were killed & more were hurt & traumatised, & instead of talking about their precious lives, we are being forced to focus on violent entitled white men burning cars & towns, who don’t give a shit about women’s & girls’ safety.
Police are appealing for help to trace a man who is missing from Norwich.

It's time to call out these comments. When I started my career, the BBC called a programme I went on, about debt crisis "Hey Big Spender" - I objected. The biggest cause of debt crisis was change of circumstance.
Since we've had a pandemic, cost of living crisis, mental health crisis. People lose jobs, lose partners, lose legs. People get cancer, have mental health breakdowns, get disabilities that stop them working.
The idea that everyone can have enough saved to bring up a child when they have a child (ie £100,000s) is ludicrous. The idea that we should live in a society where there is no underlying support for people who need it, is dystopian.
While there will be a few who desire to be on benefits. I suspect its very much the minority. A huge chunk of those getting Universal Credit are IN WORK. A majority of those getting child benefit are IN WORK.
This was about a late payment for money many rely on. Show some bloody compassion!
