He’s the guy who has lived through advertising wars and come out ahead.

He’s the guy who understands that advertising is selling. That it’s a lot more than ads and a brochure and some messages in Social Media.

He’s the guy who’s authoring this. In case there’s any doubt.

He’s the guy who says be original. Be interesting. Be honest.

He’s he guy who says be inclusive. Establish your markets. That’s target marketing.

He’s the guy who says be competitive. Be tough when appropriate. Be relentless. If you don’t show fight now, when are you going to show it?

He’s the guy who did all those things and more in his advertising career. Understanding the market was critical.

He’s the guy who is now going to show you how thinking globally can separate one advertiser from another.

He’s the guy who feels that being critical or too long should not put you to sleep. But rather awaken you to the realities of winning.

He’s the guy who did the following:
Create KFC’s first national ad. Convinced John Y. Brown, CEO to change the offer, change design from color to black & white put in loose coupon. Became most successful ad in Look Magazine’s history.

Bombay Gin was only expensive gin to have a French Vermouth as a companion product for martinis. He created a package with a fifth of the Gin and a pint of the Vermouth. Called The BombayBombayMartiniBox

He the guy who worked on Waterbury National Bank and worked with a team to create a theme “MONEY ISN’T EVERYTHING.”

Those weren’t hollow words. It led to the creation of the first ever EXPRESS LINE for a bank. And free checking for seniors. And a page one feature in the Wall street Journal about the campaign.

TAP Portuguese Airways was running full page ads in the New York Times daily paper offering one week free. Changed the media to the NY Times Magazine and the appeal made to people going to the Caribbean in the winter. Overwhelmed with response.

Information for Business. Before Google. Based in NYC. Before Grand Central Station’s Food Court, in the lower level, it was devoid of anything meaningful. 60,000 business types came in and out of that area. We rented half the space and set up a small Business Information Booth for one month communicating with all those prospects. Space cost $2500.

with radio campaign COME WATCH THE LEGEND GROW. Using Bob Sheppard as VO. Steinbrenner went bananas over concept.

Got Phil Rizzuto to sing the praises of Ferrara’s in Little Italy with HOLY CANNOLI. You may have used the expression.

Where’s there’s a market, there’s an opportunity.

With the Rodney King situation, Hate was prevalent, Minorities and Women were treated as Second Class Citizens. I felt there was a need to focus on African American role models. I approached MLK, Jr.s family and produced a set of collectible cards on his life, in collaboration with them.

I did the same with Betty Shabazz about Malcolm X.
Also produced a card set on other significant African Americans like Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman, etc.

All the people on the cards were converted into a very dramatic poster entitled BRINGING BLACK HISTORY INTO FOCUS.

TOYS “R” US gave away 200,000 posters at Black History Month. Con Ed used them in school projects. The Smithsonian sold them. We made Teaching Guides.

We then created similar items for Hispanic Americans, American Indians and posters for American Women Legends.

If you want your communications program to look BIG and IMPORTANT we should communicate. The door is open. Don’t close it.

TOMORROW IS ALMOST HERE

Do we learn from our mistakes?

Several years ago, the Republicans realizing they were in danger of extinction announced they were going to focus on winning Electoral College votes in key states.

Minorities were increasing like a galloping race horse, and the Republican solution was to throw dirt in the eyes of those thoroughbreds to slow them down.

Before you know it, the Christian Right was going to be in a minority. God forbid. Desperate as they were, Donald Trump was their savior. That says it all.

Minorities were primarily Democrats, so the race was on to pull the reins on voting. Gerrymander areas making it more difficult for minorities to vote. Increase areas giving an advantage to the Republican voter. If successful the goal was to gain control of legislatures, governorships and key judicial appointments. Emphasis on Federal judges and in particular, the Supreme Court.

They’ve been reasonably successful. The Democrats’ response initially was to postpone summer breaks and take on the Republicans.

The powers to be rejected that and the Democrats took off for their golf games. Mid-September would be time enough to take the Republicans on. Fore.

Memories were short-lived and the voting issue took a back seat.
Instead the BUILD BACK BETTER mentality became front and center in September. The Democrats lost more than time. They lost opportunity.

While they had everything going for them, the Democrats sat on their hands. They identified all the problems but offered little or no solutions. They became prisoners of the polls.

Here we are with Kamala energizing us, to a degree. She has so little time, pulling a rabbit out of the hat is not easy.

In the meantime, the election is almost tomorrow. My question is:
“Can the Democrats walk and talk at the same time?”

In plain English, can they fight to be elected and prepare to deal with a situation where they win and or lose the Presidency?

It’s probably going to be chaotic either way? Are there plans?

If they win and Trump is sentenced to prison, what is going to happen? If he refuses to show up?

What about all the threats to challenge the election?

How are they going to deal with The Supreme Court?

Are they going to forgive and forget?

These are just a few scratching the surface questions?

People are itching for a lot more.

Then there’s the other “Hope it doesn’t happen” question. The Republicans win. Fascism? Trumpism?

Tomorrow will become yesterday shortly. Why am I perspiring?

Minorities will soon be the majority.
Abortion will give birth to a new body of strength.
The Vote will be more powerful than the gun.
At some point, the blamers will be forced to look in the mirror. It could crack.

When Florida secedes, kiss Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and Snap goodbye. Football will be thrown for a big loss. Friday Night Lights will be your entertainment. How much will Florida currency buy?

Will DeSantis be on the short end of the stick?

History is history. It cannot be erased. A loser is a loser. A liar. A liar. It’s Mr. Trump’s gamble. Those casinos went belly-up. Are you going to roll the dice with him?

Those bone spurs kept Trump from being drafted. How are they?
Trump had a way with women. About 25 claim he abused them sexually.

He’s maintained that he was an academic star at Wharton. Number one in his graduating class. Very modest to withhold records.

Kids used to play doctor when they were four or five years of age. Apparently Trump did that as an adult.
Wrote his own medical report. The AMA was impressed.
There is some confusion about Alternative Facts. Is it true that some criminals tried to use them and were convicted of perjury? Sorry. That’s an Alternative Fact.

Trump doesn’t drink. Is there a relationship about different kinds of bars? Prison bars? A significant number of people he’s hired in government have either been in prison or waiting for the occasion. Including himself.

Wouldn’t you say that Mr. Trump is a highly recognized person? During September 11, he claimed to have spent considerable time assisting our courageous first responders in their efforts to save as many folks as possible. No one remembers seeing him. An Executive VP of his organization claims he never went down there.

It’s epidemic. The Republicans following Trump’s lead want to retire Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

In his administration, Friends would become Enemies. Enemies Friends. NATO would be on the chopping block. Ukraine would be part of Russia. Elon Musk would effectively be our next President.

If Republicans can’t get it done, it’s Hillary’s fault.

The Republicans have just received THE NO BACKBONE AWARD. A companion to THE NO GUTS AWARD.

January 6 was not a walk in the park.

The Republicans are drowning in his Swamp.

After a series of sophisticated research studies we were able to determine the reason for the lack of success in every business in which he ventured :

Hitler is one person people don’t confuse. Vance wondered whether he was America’s Hitler. He couldn’t goosestep out of that one.

Immigrants are poisoning the well.

But not on his property? They’re fertile there?
North Carolina should increase employment by over 300,000. Mostly in the furniture industry. Trump claims hotel operators buy cheap stuff from China that breaks down quickly, affecting North Carolina, competitively. He intends to change that. Interestingly, the Trump organizations are one of the major violators of that policy.

In communism, sharing is a critical ingredient. Is that why he did that very thing with our top secret classified information?

Of course, he told it like it is. John McCain was a loser for getting captured.

All our dead military heroes were also losers for getting killed.

Trump loves military parades. Wounded warriors, not invited.

Since Trump is so good with nicknames, this should grab him.
