Karen Bass, the destroyer of Los Angeles, has managed to unite all off my friends regardless of politics. We are all in agreement that she is the absolute worst. Yet half the city voted for more of her “needles, crime, and human shit”policies. Evidently there’s no fixing stupid.
Okay, so, I just got a message from a VERY trusted source who provided some numbers here.
Here is what I was told. Now understood, there's a lot of semantics that can be used here, so here are the parameters that I gave the people I've talked to, which are my sources.
The definition of "fully-funded" that I'm using means scholarships given by the school, plus rev share/NIL in totality. So, if the school gives 13 scholarships, which OSU had last year, and a scholarship is worth $60,000, which is what baseball has to pay to fund a scholarship, then, to be "fully-funded," OSU would need roughly $1.2 Million in rev share/NIL to be fully funded.
So, OSU had 13 scholarships and $400,000 in cash, which meant they were close to 3/4 million dollars away from just being fully-funded in terms of scholarships. And, that would be handing out NO NIL to anyone, just a scholarship. This is why the 34 rule has made it SO tough!
So, for next year, these are the numbers I've been given by these sources.
Source 1:
UCF: 34 FULL scholarships, plus it is believed they have a lot of rev share on TOP of that.
Arizona: 24 Scholarships with 150K in rev share/NIL
Utah & BYU: Similar to each other. 15 scholarships and enough rev share to total 18 scholarships. That's right, exactly where OSU is at.
Cincinnati: "Rumored" ALL 34 scholarships
Source 2:
West Virginia: This year, 11.7 plus 1.25 million in rev share/NIL, which is a total of right at $2,000,000. Next year, expanding to 20-25 scholarships with same rev share.
KU: 25 fulls & 500K in Rev Share/NIL
TCU: They "think" 25 fulls & $750,000
Texas Tech: ALL 34 scholarships and MASSIVE rev share.
Source 1 didn't mention OSU, but by the figures they gave as to what all the Big 12 schools are doing, their figures indicated that OSU would be close to, if not at the BOTTOM of the Big 12 in terms of resources allocated.
If you are someone who knows these figures and you think they're wrong, or you would like to add your team's finances to these equations, DM me, and we'll do it however you want it done. Beyond that, there ya' go! #gopokes #okstate
So....I've sat on this information out of respect for the program because I didn't want anyone to have the impression this was being used as an excuse or be seen as whining
To add, West Virginia will have 20-25 next year and roughly 2 1/2 times the total monies. KU will be at 25. This part is speculation, but Ibe also heard that TCU will have 25 scholarships and that BYU is either fully funded or close.
AND...We know Tech has the funds to do whatever they want.
There ya' go! If you can't acknowledge this is THE problem then you're just not in reality. #gopokes #okstate
⭐️THIS is a GREAT read ⭐️
I’m worn out hearing people moan, “Our grandparents could buy a house on one paycheck, but now we can’t even afford rent on two!”
Yeah, maybe because Grandma wasn’t dropping half her income on $14 iced lattes and avocado toast shaped like art projects. Back then, if they wanted coffee, they boiled it at home in a dented pot. It tasted like burnt rubber and regret — but it woke you up and cleaned your pipes.
And Grandma wasn’t “out to brunch.” You think she had time for mimosas and hashtags? She was making something called whatever’s left in the fridge and feeding six people with it.
Don’t even start with Uber Eats. You think Grandpa was out here paying $38 to have a burger delivered three blocks away? Please. He grilled mystery meat on a rusted barbecue, and everyone called it dinner.
Now people cry about being broke while sitting in a house full of gadgets. Two SUVs in the driveway, six streaming services, three air fryers, and matching tattoos that cost more than their light bill. You think Grandpa had a tattoo? He did. It said “Korea, 1951,” and it came with trauma, not Instagram likes.
And the kids—Lord help us. “We can’t make ends meet, but Brayden needs the new iPhone!” No, he doesn’t. You’re handing an $1100 device to a child who still eats crayons and forgets to flush.
When we were kids, there was one phone. It hung on the wall like a family relic. The cord stretched just far enough for you to whisper secrets before someone yelled, “Get off, I need to make a call!” And guess what? We lived.
The TV? One. In the living room. With three channels and a dial that clicked like a safe. And if Dad wanted to watch bowling, you were a fan of bowling, end of story.
Now there’s a flat screen in every room, the baby’s got an iPad, the dog’s got a camera, and everyone’s wondering why they can’t afford rent.
Because you’re living like rock stars on retail salaries, that’s why.
Grandpa wasn’t leasing Teslas or buying $12 smoothies called “Green Zen Awakening.” He drove a truck that coughed smoke, rattled like a storm, and smelled like oil and hard work.
They lived within their means. Whatever Grandpa brought home on Friday — that’s what they had. They weren’t keeping up with the Joneses; they were keeping the lights on.
So yeah, Grandpa bought a house on one salary. But he also didn’t have a gym membership, three delivery apps, and emotional support crystals on his nightstand. His only support system was Grandma, who told him to quit whining and mow the yard.
Nowadays, everyone’s broke, anxious, and “manifesting abundance” while ordering tacos on DoorDash for the fourth time this week.
It’s not the economy — it’s the lifestyle.
Wake up, turn off your subscriptions, make your own coffee, and maybe—just maybe—you’ll smell the truth.
MMA FIGHTER into action mid-flight: It was Josh Longood, a former professional MMA fighter, jumped into action on a Frontier flight from Puerto Rico to Chicago when a passenger assaulted a flight attendant and tried to open an emergency exit door.
He said: "You board a flight from Puerto Rico to Chicago and end up having to restrain and tie up a guy who attacked a flight attendant and tried opening emergency doors…
After these pics, he slipped the ties, so I had to hold him down until our emergency landing in Miami. Luckily, I’m a light sleeper and was only a row away when everything went down.
Glad everyone made it home safely. Hoping my next flight is significantly more boring"

🚨 WOW! DHS Sec. Markwayne Mullin just stared insufferable Sen. Chris Murphy (D) IN THE EYE and PUMMELED his lies 🫳🏻🎤
MURPHY: DHS is just making up the law!
MULLIN: "When YOU throw out reckless terms, and you start referring to our agents as being 'dangerous, unconstitutional, and lawless,' THAT'S why our agents' DEATH THREATS are up by 8,000%!"
"I understand wanting to get soundbites, and that was OBVIOUS because the whole time you was giving your testimony, you wasn't looking at me, you was looking at a CAMERA!"
"For YOU to throw my 275,000 employees underneath DHS, with a broad stroke like that, is RECKLESS and IRRESPONSIBLE in your part!"
"We're doing the job that CONGRESS gave us the authority to do, and our men and women out there every single day is enforcing laws. If you don't like the laws, YOU can CHANGE them!"
"The outlandish claims you made there is just flat wrong. You start saying we're breaking the law, and you really start looking at it, and we're enforcing laws that Congress did pass. That's reckless."
"Your political theater, that's what it causes. When you start looking at assaults on our officers, they're up by 1,300%. Senator Murphy, is that what you want?!"
How do I know the media is brainwashing people?
Obama's ICE Chief received the Presidential Award for Distinguished Service for removing over 900,000 illegal aliens.
Trump's ICE Chief is called a Nazi.
It is the same person.....Tom Homan....
The only difference? The narrative.
Good luck today to my friend Steve Hilton, who is running to become the next governor of California. He's a good guy and I encourage everyone to get out there and support him. California is such a beautiful state--it just needs better political leadership!
A homeless man found $42,000. He kept nothing.
Glen James, a homeless Boston man, found a backpack at a shopping mall containing $42,000 in cash and traveler's checks and immediately flagged down police to return it. James had been homeless since 2005 after losing his job as a file clerk, and relied on food stamps and panhandling to get by.
Despite being homeless for five years, the thought of keeping the money never crossed his mind. "Even if I were desperate for money, I would not have kept even a penny of the money found," he said in a handwritten statement.
James had found the bag, which contained $2,400 in cash and $39,500 in traveler's checks, in front of a TJ Maxx store in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, and flagged down police who were patrolling the area. Police returned the backpack to a visiting Chinese student who had accidentally left it outside the store. It also contained his passport.
James was honored by Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis "for his extraordinary show of character and honesty."
Just hours after his identity was made public, a complete stranger, Ethan Whittington, launched a GoFundMe campaign that raised over $55,000 for James in just one day. The effort ultimately raised more than $148,000 from people around the world.
A trust fund was set up to accept the donations, and James prepared to move into transitional housing in Cambridge. Whittington later flew to Boston to meet James for the first time.
Seeing these portal announcements coming out and I have a few thoughts.
1. If you’re an all conference and potential top 5 round guy, and you’ve got a staff that knows their stuff and has developed you, why leave? Yes, you can get one year of NIL but Bremmer and Flora got way more staying at UCSB and being top picks than they would’ve gotten from NIL. Future earnings from development matter too and should be in that equation.
2. If you’re a stud, you leave, that new program has no history with you. One slump, you’re on the bench. You’ve built up no equity. That’s a kind of pressure wasn’t there at the previous school.
3. I think fans are starting to understand that most transfer portal entries are due to the end of the season meeting. It sucks, especially in baseball. This isn’t football or basketball with full scholarships. Most kids took out student loans or getting some sort of help. Do all your credits transfer to the new school? Who knows, maybe life just got delayed by a year because of this. It’s a confusing time and makes a lot of kids really hate baseball because it’s a business now. Yes, even in college. Coaches telling guys that will be seniors to leave when guys have 75% of their credits is BS.
4. Those fancy commitment Instagram graphics are so cringe. I know you’re excited, but the fact is that most likely you’ll be deleting it in 12 months.
5. I still like the roster limits in place now. Beats back in day where teams would bring in 60-80 guys in the Fall and then tell 80% of the freshmen to go find a Juco to play at after the first semester.
Troy vs Little Rock for a trip to Omaha. Both teams heading to Super Regionals for the first time in program history. Best postseason in college sports
One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't start a Roth IRA earlier in life. I honestly didn't understand what it was & didn't put the effort into researching it. If you are the same do yourself a favor & research it & open one. You'll be thankful later you did👍
