My vestigial Catholicism reared its head yesterday: I was trying to get the kids to stay downstairs and not be a distraction to Martin while I changed him, and I told them they could only come back upstairs after they sang “three carols and two Hail Marys”
This morning Francis said “there’s almost six of us!”
And I had to think and count for a moment because I was like “no that can’t be right. That’s too many people…”
But no we really are about to be a family of 6 😮
Francis and Florence have found the walkie talkies and are now on different floors/different rooms just saying “poop!” to each other over the airwaves.
Finally got to watch at least part of the Joel Coen Macbeth with Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand and I gotta say the horny delivery of the unsex me speech was the correct artistic choice.
Who else treats their children like little developmental psychology experiment?
Martin was just playing with the spinny part of the spin mop bucket and I was like “oooh are you doing a rotational play schema?!”
On my right pointer, middle, and ring finger I want “Time”, “Truth”, “& Heart” respectively, and then on the same three fingers of my left hand I want “tomorrow”, “& tomorrow”, “& tomorrow”
Plus no one is dumber and more blindly ambitious than a man in his 20’s to early 30’s!
Macbeth should be a young up and coming thane! At most a similar age/status to Duncan’s son!
I started watching Macbeth with Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand (who I DO think are good cast choices!). My beef with casting grizzled older people in the roles of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth is that I feel like those characters should be in their younger childbearing years.
Like they reference a baby they obv lost, Macbeth tells his wife to only issue male heirs, and the weird sisters give Banquo the prophecy that his children will become kings, and that Macbeth won’t have children.
These are people who could have young families!
Ok I know I make a lot of ironic jokes about my beautiful aryan children, but CJ’s phone made an auto slideshow of Florence and automatically set the background song as Edelweiss 💀
I have this thing where I don’t like to refer to fetuses by name, but I am tempted to start referring to this one by the title “The Prince Of Cumberland” as a reference to the name I’ve chosen.
