@rizer94@DialConfession I trust Murray Gold’s word more than Russell’s honestly, mostly cause the NDAs causing Russell to say certain things might not affect Murray. But also Murray is just a legend who’s only made banger music for the show lol
@JohnMartinPugh@JeffMoo62074@Dani_WSDK@NotAgnor Am I right in remembering that’s the current version of the re-destruction of the time lords in series 12? I got the impression they were saying now that the master’s bomb made them sterile rather than outright wipe them out again, even if that wasn’t the og intention
Karl Urban's resume shouldn't be real.
Lord of the Rings. Star Trek. Star Wars. Marvel. He's the only living actor who's appeared in all four of the biggest sci-fi franchises in cinema history. Combined box office north of $5 billion.
In Ragnarok he shaved his head, gained 20 pounds of bulk, and played a coward who dies holding twin assault rifles named "Des" and "Troy." In The Boys he spent five seasons as the most compelling antihero on television, and the final episode aired six days ago.
In between those two roles he starred in Dredd. The entire film. Never removed the helmet. The audience never saw his eyes. Most actors at his level would have demanded the reveal. Urban kept it on because that's what the character required.
He started on Xena: Warrior Princess in New Zealand. Taika Waititi called him for Ragnarok and said he'd be working with Cate Blanchett. Urban's response: "Sign me up. I don't need to read anything."
$20 million net worth across a career where he's never been the lead franchise face. Always the second or third name on the poster. Always in a different body. The Kiwi character actor who quietly assembled the most impossible filmography in Hollywood and nobody talks about it because he disappears into every role.
That's the whole trick. You can't recognize him because he's actually acting.
@kent5788@Sylviesboots That’s your opinion so fair enough, but I found Solo to be a fun and refreshing true adventure flick that stands the test of time. Was it absolutely necessary? No. But was it fun? Absolutely
@1Being_Schmidt@Sylviesboots Yes, but regardless the movies still exist and there is stuff to like about them. Even if they ruin the others for some people, doesn’t that still mean they exist?
@M11122233344454@Sylviesboots How on the bloody earth does liking a movie in a franchise make you NOT a fan of that franchise? Last time I checked that is the literal opposite of how this works
@NRanak65543@BenoitBlancFan Disney who was better than Mandalorian season 3, S2 was on par maybe if not better in some cases and S1 was just 100% a better show. Not to the whole of Doctor who mind, but defo the Disney era. This is coming from someone who found a lot of stuff enjoyable about this era lol
@NowuhMiller@cosmic_marvel It would not surprise me if we get a robot Ultron later on in the show. It’s giving some kind of WandaVision vibe so far so an uncanny human Ultron in that attire would fit perfectly
@DrScottFreeman@StrokinAway@Filmfanatics__ Both arcs always felt somewhat justified to me by the existence of the darkhold, since that corrupted her mind into searching for replacement children rather than creating fake ones in her universe. So while the arcs are similar they never felt identical at least imo
@777AnonimousH@StrokinAway@Filmfanatics__ Gotta disagree with that, I feel the impact of Loki a lot more than some other shows. While the Kang storyline kinda ended after Quantumania, Season 2 added to it in a cool way, and it connected to Deadpool 3, What If, and is a big centrepiece of the multiverse as a concept.
@Adumbroski@spectrumarvel Ant-Man 2 is overhated af and I’m tired of saying otherwise. Not mind-blowing but still a good fun story with some heart in it
@IamHaseebAslam@spectrumarvel No wonder they were some of the weaker seasons/shows lol, some good stuff in there but there were definitely stronger ones
@spectrumarvel Add other non-Marvel games too, gaming especially for single player games had an insane run that year. Thinking God of War, Detroit Become Human, Red Dead 2 and Smash Ultimate (less single player but still lol) to name a few others
