Alliances instead of vetoes. Dialogue instead of threats. Tough negotiations and, sometimes, a well-timed smile instead of stirring up hatred. This is how we get results in Brussels. In fact, it’s the only way.
Come with me behind the scenes!
The Court of Justice of the European Union has ruled that the Orbán government unlawfully released thousands of people smugglers with final convictions from Hungarian prisons. @PM_ViktorOrban remains silent on why they released dangerous criminals…
I held a bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Brussels.
I welcomed the political agreement between Hungary and Ukraine on strengthening the rights of the Hungarian minority in Transcarpathia.
We see the Ukrainian Parliament’s adoption of the minority education law and the immediate start of its implementation as a first step towards rebuilding mutual trust.
I thanked the Ukrainian Parliament for its September resolution recognising the crimes committed against Hungarians in Transcarpathia through forced labour and mass deportations between 1944 and 1946.
President @ZelenskyyUa and I agreed to continue talks at ministerial level, with a special focus on improving the situation of minorities in both countries.
We also agreed that it is in both countries’ interests to build a new foundation for our political and economic relations.
I expressed my full solidarity with Ukraine in the face of Russia’s brutal aggression, which has continued for almost five years.
Hungary is ready to use every possible diplomatic means to help achieve a ceasefire as soon as possible and secure lasting peace.
Nine hours into the second day of the EU summit. I have a fever and I’m a bit tired, but determined. Only drinking coffee in the meeting room 😎 because we have important matters to discuss.
Late on Friday evening, a tough and emotional debate is still under way among the 27 European leaders on tackling illegal migration.
It is clear that strict, decisive and effective border protection, along with the immediate return of illegal migrants, is now seen as the approach to follow by most European countries. But not all of them - not yet.
On behalf of Hungary, I support the toughest proposal put forward by Poland, Italy and Denmark. Together, we are trying to convince the few remaining member states that still oppose it.
The TISZA government will allocate significantly more funding to family support and child protection in 2027 than the failed regime ever did. We will protect our children from criminals and from Fidesz’s politics of hatred.

The summit of European heads of state and government in Brussels begins with a commemoration of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence.
Tisztelet a hősöknek! ❤️🤍💚
📉🇪🇺 Unemployment is rising in Europe.
In Hungary alone, the number of unemployed has risen by 17,000.
The European Commission has reassured me with bureaucratic rhetoric that they are working on the issue. I fear that this will only make the situation worse, not better.
@BalazsOrban_HU@BrankoGrimsX1 Személy szerint teljesen egyetértek vele. Az alkotmányos jogokat mindenkinek tiszteletben kell tartania, a rendőrség sem tehet meg bármit.
As long as I am Prime Minister of Hungary, no harm will come to our children. There will be no incitement to hatred and no ideologically driven teaching of any kind in Hungarian educational institutions.
I call on the leaders of the opposition parties and their propaganda lackeys to stop inciting hatred and apologise.
Not to me, but to the Hungarian children they have betrayed once again.
Viktor Orbán is proud that Fidesz voted against measures to protect babies left in hospitals and children at risk. The failed mafioso also started throwing around accusations of paedophilia. He was not bothered by the fact that he had previously campaigned for and given an award to a paedophile monster.
The reputation of the free press would perhaps be better served if it stopped spreading lies that have been clearly debunked and are on a par with Fidesz propaganda. Let me make this clear, particularly for @hvg_hu: neither Minister @istvankapitany nor I are considering resigning.
On my way to Brussels for a particularly important EU Summit.
The agenda will include further strengthening the protection of Europe's external borders, tackling the energy crisis, and the seven-year EU budget, which is crucial for Hungary’s economic growth.
Today, I am holding talks with the prime ministers of the Visegrad Group. On Thursday, ahead of the summit, I will attend a meeting of the heads of government from the @EPP and take part in a meeting on cohesion policy convened by the Italian prime minister.
On Friday morning, I will hold my first official bilateral meeting with the President of Ukraine.
Until I return home on Friday night, Deputy Prime Minister Bálint Ruff will coordinate the work of the government.
Full house in Brussels at our conference on liberal authoritarianism and how to stand up against it!
There is complete agreement on two points:
1. The rise of liberal authoritarian rule in EU member states, with Brussels’ support, is unacceptable.
2. The Hungarian people can count on the solidarity of patriotic, conservative and sovereigntist forces.
🚨 BREAKING: HUNGARY’S GOVERNMENT MOVES TO REMOVE GENDER PROPAGANDA RESTRICTIONS FROM ORBÁN’S CHILD PROTECTION ACT
The doors of Hungarian classrooms are being opened up to gender activists, allowing them to promote their views directly to students.
PM Péter Magyar’s Tisza government wants to delete this provision:
“Those activities must not have the aim of promoting deviation from the self-identity corresponding to the sex assigned at birth, gender reassignment, or homosexuality.”
Under pressure from Brussels, the new government is opening schools to gender propaganda.
The proposed changes to Hungary’s sex-offender registry would make it harder for parents to check individuals working with children, removing immediate acces.
The Tisza government’s argument? According to them, the reforms are necessary to comply with EU court ruling.
🇭🇺 What Hungarians say? Hungary held a nationwide referendum asking voters whether they supported:
• Sexual orientation classes in schools WITHOUT parental consent.
• Promoting gender reassignment treatments to minors.
• Showing minors potentially developmentally harmful sexual media content without restrictions.
• Showing minors media depicting gender reassignment.
Between 3.6 and 3.7 MILLION Hungarians voted NO on each question.
A major attack on education, parental rights, and child protecton.
Fidesz and Mi Hazánk voted together against a law to strengthen child protection. They voted against helping babies abandoned in hospitals and protecting children from all forms of violence.
Shameful!
