First 80° day of 2026 in Providence!🌡️
This year's date comes a couple weeks before our average date of May 1st. The record high for today at KPVD is 87° set recently in 2023.
While you'll still notice the spring chill at the coast, enjoy the taste of summer! 😎

4AM WIND REPORTS: 90 MPH on top of Blue Hill... and many other notable spots above 60 MPH through the overnight! Winds are soon to ease, but please be cautious of downed limbs and powerlines if heading out (especially before sunrise).

A spectacular sight this morning as low level fog has led to a partial undercast effect over downtown Providence.

TIMELAPSE: A cool sight at Beavertail State Park this morning as a thin veil of fog developed over the water.
You can actually see the fog essentially moving with the sea water as waves crashed, before light winds pushed more of it onshore after sunrise.

ICYMI: Live from the summit of Mount Washington yesterday morning! The wind and the cell service made it tough to hear, but it's all part of experiencing the home of the world's worst weather. 🎥 🏔️
@turfman911 The final snowfall at T.F. Green was 37.9 inches. On Tuesday morning, the snow depth was observed at 39 inches, a combination of the blizzard and the 5 inches of snow that remained from January’s storm.
The power of a higher sun angle in late winter is a wonderful thing! Since the blizzard, the snow depth at PVD has gone from 39 inches on Tuesday morning to 17 inches as of Saturday night. Almost 2 feet of snow lost in just 5 days!
SNOWFALL ANALYSIS: Here's a map of official reports received from the Blizzard of 2026. Most saw between 2-3', with some spots a little more or less. Once in a generation event here locally! 🌨️📏
