The Purbeck pigs have an important role in conservation. 🐷
Their rooting and snuffling create bare patches which are vital for many species including sand lizards. 🦎
It's important not to stroke or feed them though or they will become quite demanding!
It was great to join our friends @BirdsofBARI and @nationaltrust at Knoll Beach! We showed the Year 6s the variety of habitats in this stunning location.
Last week we teamed up with @nationaltrust Studland Bay and @DorsetHeaths to show St Mary's Primary School how amazing Studland is! The children learned about epic migratory birds and we spotted some common tern diving into the water looking for fish 😋 and a sand lizard 🦎
