Questions have to be asked about what has been happening on the training pitch the last couple of weeks. Still no style of play and the players look like they’ve never seen each other before #readingfc

Watching highlights this morning, it appears most L1 clubs fielded strong teams and got results. Feels like an opportunity missed for #readingfc given the N’ton cancellation. On the + side, Marriott is an upgrade and Ritchie will help with our lack of creativity to date

@Houlton11 This the worst of the lot for me. Agree with most of your points, whilst Noel isn’t necessarily being supported to the maximum, you have to control the controllables - and not playing your best players certainly isn’t

@TheTilehurstEnd @mrblthomas Wimbledon looked like a League 2 side, but no clear game plan - or Plan B - isn’t acceptable no matter how much the squad has changed over the summer. Lack of tactical ability will show now we don’t have the off the pitch noise from last season to hide it. Worrying

@temporaryuse55 @ReadingBTL Fully agree with both points, Elliott should be one of the first names on the team sheet, especially with recent performances. However, Selles initially played him as one of the wide players which was a criminal misuse of his talents…but not worse than giving him 0 minutes 🤯

@b_c411 65 minutes before making a change isn’t acceptable. 10 minutes in it was clear Fraser should be replaced. Elliott doesn’t even get on the pitch - I’d love to watch a few training sessions to understand why. Still no identifiable playing style. Very worrying times

@b_c411 Completely agree, was completely wasted on the wing under Selles. We missed his passing and dribbling ability from deep last year when injured. Once he gets back up to match sharpness he’s going to be key for us this year.
