@Lightisu@theliverdoc I’m not against researching Ayurveda. In fact, the govt. should invest more in research to separate what works from what doesn’t. What I’m against is awarding AYUSH the legitimacy of a premier institute before the evidence is mature. That is putting the cart before the horse.
@rushout09@kanth_mayur@zerodhamarkets It’s a chicken and egg problem. People choose the government, and the government comes from the same society. But once in power, it is the government’s job to improve systems, reduce red tape, and create better policies.
@Lightisu@theliverdoc The standards have changed in the past 3000 years, earlier people didn't have means to do such exhaustive research. Surely, they did their best according to their time. Will you switch to 2G data once you have better standards of 5G?

@avi_nash_jha_@BS_Prasad This tweet is misleading.
1. He has used "तूने" only once in the whole video, that for an ISI agent.
2. He hasn't used any pronoun for PM Modi at all.
3. Yes, "उन्हें" has been used for Atiq Ahmed only one time, but he has also used " उसे " two times.

@cryptopatrick@alex_prompter I have certainly felt dumber in many aspects, although I have learnt many new things, but also traded off so many things. Surely, if I ever pick them again, I will master them faster. But there is a tradeoff.
It's baffling that in a decade or so, we will generate more text using AI than humanity has created in the past few centuries. We are already observing a shift in the scientific vocabulary.

@amruta2403@theliverdoc Look at China, they also have traditional medicine but their researchers have made strong efforts to standardize and integrate it with modern medicine, In India, Ayurvedic research often lacks rigorous trials and is plagued by poor standardization and quality control.
@amruta2403@theliverdoc The argument that "something has survived for centuries so it must be correct" is a classic survivorship bias. Many ineffective or harmful practices also persisted until evidence disproved them. Longevity ≠ validity, especially without scientific scrutiny.
@amruta2403@theliverdoc I won't say it's 100% pseudoscience. It works in some cases, it was the best system at that time when we didn't have the molecular understanding of pathogenesis. You can think of it as the horse cart but now we have motor bikes/cars. Modern problems require modern solutions.
@samarknowsit@IndianTechGuide I guess it’s not about setting up a full-fledged fab. IISc already has the infrastructure—like the National Nanofabrication Centre @CeNSEatIISc. This proposal is likely aimed at fundamental research and prototype development, not commercial-scale production.
@reveredreader2@DG_Thanos@mariakhan_11@grok I am talking about those religious people who are using high volume speakers in the public place irrespective of Hindus and Muslims.
@reveredreader2@DG_Thanos@mariakhan_11@grok I didn't say I don't have an ideology but aren't you enforcing your ideology by blasting your Mantra/Azaan on speakers? Practice your ideology, go to temples/mosques, perform your rituals without causing trouble in the public space?
