Flag Day 🇨🇦 has suddenly became trendy this year so I wanted to share with you my favourite flag and some of the story that came along with it.

The flag in this photo was sent to me by a (frmr) Corporal who worked in the Signals branch of the CAF, responsible for CSNI systems in Western Canada.

In March of 2020 this husband and father of 4 resigned after the military refused to recognize his medical or religious exemption for the vaccine. His unit tried to have him dishonourably discharged (5F) for choosing bodily autonomy.

Thankfully he was able to obtain a voluntary release before he could be given an 5F.

This corporal has a wife and 4 children, two with special needs.

After being treated abhorrently by the CAF, he removed the flag from his military uniform. He sent it to me after the convoy with a beautiful heartfelt card expressing his gratitude for all we had done for him and his family.

I have a lot flags now, this one being the smallest and my most cherished possession. It comes with me everywhere I go, on the visor of my truck next to a poppy and a small Canada pin. It’s been across Canada with me quite a few times and will be coming along in March to Ottawa for the verdict in our trial.

If you are celebrating Flag Day today make sure to thank a Veteran. They fought and many died for this flag and are the reason we can celebrate it.
