13. Our problem is deeper than bad behavior ... it is a corrupt heart.We do not just stumble into sin by accident. We are drawn to it. On the inside, we are naturally looking for ways to get what we want instead of what God wants. The corruption runs deeper than actions. It lives in our desires.

12. Every person is born condemned already.The Bible does not say we are waiting to find out our verdict. We are condemned already. We inherited a sin nature from Adam. Every person who comes into this world comes in cut off from God, under judgment, and running in the wrong direction.

11. Sin separates ... but God did not move, we did.Isaiah 59:2 says our iniquities have separated us from God. When God feels silent or far away, the distance is not on His side. Sin built the wall. We are the ones who moved away from Him.

10. God always moves first.Adam and Eve were the ones who sinned. God owed them nothing. But God came looking for them anyway. He did not wait for an apology. He came because He knew they were broken and could not find their way back on their own. That is grace, showing up in the garden before the word grace was even written.

9. The devil's strategy has never changed.He ignores every good thing God has given you and points your eyes at the one thing you cannot have. He gets you focused on what you are missing instead of what you have been given. That is how temptation worked in the garden, and it is how it works today.

8. Sin does not just change what we do ... it changes what we see.Before the fall, Adam and Eve could only see what was good. After the fall, all they could see was what was wrong. That distorted vision is part of what we inherited. We are naturally quicker to see what is broken than what is beautiful.

7. You cannot define normal by looking at a broken world.Most people measure what is right and natural by what they see around them. But the world around us is fallen. Using fallen people to define normal is like using a broken clock to set your watch. Scripture alone shows us what God originally intended.

6. We were made to reflect God, not just to know about Him.God made man in His image. An image is a reflection. We were not made to carry information about God ... we were made to show the world what God looks like through the way we live, speak, love, and treat others.

5. God never changes, and His goodness never changes.James 1:17 says there is no variableness in God, not even a shadow of turning. He is not good some days and less good on others. Every good thing you have ever received came from Him ... and He is still giving.

4. Everything God made was good ... not some things, all things.Genesis one repeats it day after day. Good. Good. Good. On day six, when man is made and everything is complete, God calls it very good. There was nothing broken, nothing wrong, nothing twisted in the original creation.
