@jimiuorio@jrbusa16 Everyone seems to ignore your last point. That is the real problem. And nobody ever "required" kids to play for just a scholarship, it was a choice. And thousands of kids would line up to do it today just like they did before.
@CoryRAanalytics@Mike1Moran Not that much though. The vast majority of the revenue is already locked in because of the school. Texas stunk for most of the 2010's and still brought in more money than anyone.
@J_Aiken2@WinterSportsLaw Spoken like an agent. That's BS. What mainly drives revenue is the school and the platform the NCAA provides. Put all the players in some anonymous uniforms and suddenly nobody watches.
@J_Aiken2@WinterSportsLaw Because the most valuable assets to college teams are coaches, and it's not even close. It's different in the pro sports for a variety of reasons.
@Bobby_DePauw@JoelMBeall The US Open penalizes bad shots more than this. This course doesn’t really reward great shots but also doesn’t penalize bad ones enough. It’s why the scores are so bunched up. I don’t care for Mcilroy but he’s right.
@KylePorterNS The problem is that really poor shots don’t get punished enough, because there is so little trouble off the tee. Rough is way more manageable that water, trees and OB. The stats show that it barely matters where you drive the ball.
@jamierkennedy He’s right. Good shots not being rewarded enough. Bad shots not being penalizing enough (relative to the field). So everyone shoots about the same. 111 guys within 10 shots of leader after two rounds. That’s unheard of.
@THPGolf We’d win, and I’d say easily. It’s an incredibly hard course but I think you realize how easy it is for four close to scratch golfers to shoot 7 or 8 under in a scramble. You’re probably never gonna 3 putt, have a penalty shot, or be remotely out of play.
@LouStagner I don't think that's true at all. A lot of golfers just don't hit it solid all that often. I play with guys all the time who probably average 230 statistically but when they hit one good it goes 260. How far do they hit it in your stats world?
@LouStagner I agree on a 0.0 index, but a legitimate +3 would be very competitive on the LPGA tour. They would shoot plenty of 65-67 type scores playing 6,300 yard courses in really good condition.
@KipHenley Unless you roll it in the fairway 100% of the time, getting relief from divots is dumb. I get lies all the time in the fairway that aren't good and are probably in old divots but not sure, it might just be a natural depression in the ground. Do I get relief? Who decides?
@4golfonline Learn a proper grip and stance and go hit balls every day for a week. If after a week you can’t hit a solid shot every now and then, quit and take up something else. If you can and you’re noticeably getting a little better, keep playing as much as you can.
@scottfawcett $3,000,000,000,000 pumped into the system, with lots more to come. It's going to be interesting when they pull the plug on the free money. Don't see how inflation doesn't take off, but I'm no expert.
In this episode of the ClubProGuy #LearningCenter (brought to you by @aboutGOLF_ ) we learn how to #quickly recognize doubts, then simply pull the trigger.
