The days when people support Israel “just because” are mostly over.
For Zionism to survive & Israel to thrive, we need a new, compelling rallying cry to mobilize a new generation around what 21st Century Zionism truly stands for.

🧵 Went to bed and can't sleep with this news. Just before a supposed "ceasefire," an Iranian missile exploded inside an apartment in BeerSheva where four were killed (3 from the same family). Many were injured, and property damage is severe.
TRAGEDY IN BEERSHEVA: Three of the victims were members of the same family. The fourth person killed was in a nearby apartment.
According to the Home Front Command’s investigation, the missile struck the sixth floor, hit two apartments, and exploded directly inside the shelter.”
I have walked the streets and socialized in people's apartments. I have many friends and colleagues there. I pray for their safety. If you want to help directly, please consider a gift to the emergency campaign we've put in place.
The Iranian regime has targeted the BGU ecosystem. But we refuse to let terror dismantle a legacy of hope and innovation in the Negev. Help protect the future Ben-Gurion dreamed of—donate now. https://t.co/KWtUxjdwv7
Friends, we're waking up to terrible news. An Iranian missile has struck Soroka Medical Center, the main teaching hospital for BGU's two medical schools. Their clinicians are our faculty. Their patients are our neighbors in the Negev. Our students do rounds there and have a major presence. We have many joint research laboratories and projects.
We are heartbroken—but we are not helpless. With your help, we can make a profound difference.

A4BGU’s Recovery and Resilience Fund is providing emergency assistance to the BGU community during this time of war, including those at Soroka. As Israel’s frontline in both medicine and innovation, they are caring for the wounded while working under siege.
Am Yisrael Chai.
As the Israel-Iran War continues, over 6,000 BGU students are now preparing for active reserve duty. With your urgent help, A4BGU can provide each student reservist with a $250 stipend—a direct and immediate way to ease their burden.

The October 7 horrors have disproportionately impacted BGU, with one out of every ten people killed on that dark day belonging to the BGU community. BGU students need you: you can make a profound difference.
As Israel faces mounting security threats, @bengurionu has closed its campuses in Beer-Sheva, Sde Boker, and Eilat in accordance with Israel's Home Front Command guidelines.
A4BGU stands shoulder to shoulder with BGU students, faculty, all residents of the Negev Region, and all Israelis. These are challenging times—but the spirit of BGU is unbreakable. 🇮🇱💙
“Our hearts are with the families of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, who were murdered in last night’s horrific terror attack at the Jewish Museum in DC. That this violence struck during an event about healing makes it all the more painful. Even in the face of such antisemitic hate, we remain committed to resilience — to building a future rooted in hope, knowledge, and unity. We mourn, but we will not be broken.” - Doug Seserman, CEO of Americans for Ben-Gurion University
“Edan Alexander’s release brings a powerful sense of hope and renewal. As we celebrate this step forward, our hearts remain with the 58 still held in captivity. We won’t stop calling for the safe return of BGU community members Avinatan Or, Segev Kalfon, and all the others, so healing can truly begin.” -@dougseserman, A4BGU CEO
