@Drag0nista @markeldo I can put you in touch with a consultant if you'd like. He doesn't charge but he does make a commission, and he only works with thoroughly vetted providers. I know he doesn't provide referrals for any EIG services if you're trying to avoid that brand.

@blackmore_s @guardian It's very likely you triggered their firewall. Not to get overly technical, but most companies use mod_sec and it integrates with the firewall. I mention this because I saw you're on a mobile device, and these tend to trigger the most mod_sec hits which results in a tmp IP block.

@Drag0nista @markeldo Hey Paula, nothing wrong with AWS but it's probably overwhelming if you're just starting out. I'd check out these guys.

Hoop Host (good free host)
A2 Hosting (good paid host)
Boxy Host (good easy host).
Host Papa (they're a fun host)
Liquid Web (if you got the money to spend)

@blackmore_s @guardian It's definitely up for me and in a few other locations I've tested. The issue is isolated to your connection, so it's likely one of the points I've mentioned in my reply before this one. If you can't diagnose it, probably best to just check back in a few minutes (or hours).

@blackmore_s @guardian This just means you're unable to reach the website, not that it's necessarily down. Possibly,

1. You were IP blocked
2. Your ISP is having issues
3. There's a routing issue somewhere
4. You're running privacy software / proxy which can't reach them

Have you contacted your ISP?

@anaisip Should check out Hoop Host (free), A2 Hosting (one of the popular big hosts which are actually good), https://t.co/GNRCKVfUyt (probably cheapest commercial host), or Host Papa (very friendly guys over there).

@jobmoenga @Safaricom_Care The market is huge, there are thousands of reputable web hosts. Any downtime greater than an hour is generally unacceptable these days. Check out Web Hosting Talk or check with @HostReviewHell these guys know their stuff.
