When Nanga Pass becomes a hotzone, only a few sparse buildings offer cover from artillery shells. #DTOv2#gamedev#unity3d#madewithunity
New version = new logo AND new keyart (keyart = digital box art, basically).
Looks pretty good on the store page beta π #gamedev#unity3d#madewithunity

Had a crack @ Warzone, things it does well:
-Simple weapon pickups (less min/maxing attachments)
-Character customisation (field upgrades)
-Spectate after dying
-Second chance spawn (v. good for keeping new players from instaquitting)
3/4 @DownToOneGame had as well, of courseπ

Last tweet: Best thing they've done is classes (aka non-standard base characters). Pioneered in @DownToOneGame with perks of course, but great game design that helps stop long-term player fatigue
Only minor negatives:
-Not a fan of weapon names obfuscating what the weapon does (no way to easily compare without visiting armory - guess it's a problem negated in realistic games as people know weapon names from RL)
-UI can get quite cluttered
-Inv management is clunky
@PlayApex General thoughts as a BR game:
-Core (gunplay+movement) is good. Half the battle won already.
-Good perf (thanks source2)
-Great comms tools for a game that forces teams (ping, popups, audio cues, etc)
-Great player engagement (going from one game to the next is easy - crucial)
Pulled a solid W in my last game of @PlayApex for the night with randoms, gets the adrenaline pumping when you still don't know what half your buttons do and down to the last 2 squads.
