Asphalt pavement’s quick construction time reduces user delay cost when paving. And costs are also kept down by
recycling existing asphalt pavements to make new ones. #AsphaltPerforms
The devastation from COVID-19 continues to take a toll on our economy. The oil and gas industry is also taking a hit not only due to COVID-19 but a steep decline in oil and gas prices. As a result, Oklahoma’s gross production tax dropped nearly $60 million compared to last year.
NEW: a lot of data on reported Covid deaths is highly suspect, so we’ve been looking into excess mortality — how many more people than usual have been dying around the world in recent weeks?

Not sure where this came from; it describes where we are now. We've gone from the dominant voices saying "shut it all down" to saying "open it all up." What the state and cities have done has worked; we need to be patient and stay safe, and base economic decisions on science.
Nobody wants to talk about it but I wish more people did. I have been and I still am seeing a therapist and I don’t know where I’d be without it. To anybody who is on the fence about therapy, don’t underestimate the value of your mental health.
We all have moments of struggle and setback. That is part of human life, and it has been ever thus. I came across this haiku that spoke to me in a moment of quiet reflection:

Lasting novels don’t come from literature departments. Successful businesses don’t come from business schools. Scientific revolutions don’t come from research universities.

JUST IN: @United, for the first time, offering college football fans non-traditional point-to-point, nonstop routes for games this season, including Baton Rouge to Austin for LSU-Texas and Columbus to Lincoln for Ohio State-Nebraska.
So far this year, the warmest temperature recorded in OKC has been 88. The forecast high temperature for the next two days is upper 80s, before cooler air arrives late Sunday. In 1899 (I'm sure most of you remember) the first 90 degree day occurred on July 5th. #okwx#OKC
In explaining his recruiting philosophy at an OKC event last night, @Coach_Leach talked of the importance of confidence, and unprompted dropped this:
“As Sasquatch says, ‘If you don’t believe in yourself, why should anyone else?’”
(Because Bigfoot.)
