THE ADRIAN O’GRADY CUP

Today the DFB Women’s GAA team will compete against @gardainfo to raise funds for @OscarsKidsIE and @LilBlueHeroes.

The trophy that will be presented on the day is named in honour of a much respected and missed colleague, Station Officer Adrian O’Grady.

Adrian, who joined DFB in 1995, passed away in Oct 2019. As we approach this anniversary, we are reminded of the impact Adrian had on all those he worked with both professionally and personally. He was instrumental in the introduction of the peer support system (@DfbStress) within DFB and in assisting organisations in developing their own supports around Post Traumatic Stress.

The friendship, encouragement, and sense of belonging Adrian gave to so many who had the pleasure of knowing him are what we as Firefighters and team members strive to mirror in celebration of his legacy.
