British culture, innovation and bloody brilliance… but it’s not good enough for Cambridge council!

In 1596, Sir John Harington designed one of the first flushing toilets for Elizabeth I.

In 1775 Scottish inventor Alexander Cumming patented, the water seal that stopped sewer gases coming back up the pipe and became fundamental to the modern toilet.

Then Victorian engineers turned the flushing bog into the toilet we recognise today.

…and now Cambridge Council has apparently decided we shouldn’t have progressed!

So taxpayers have spent £1 MILLION on new public toilets with squat toilets because they are “preferred” by some foreign visitors? … why do we even care??

Integration used to mean adapting to British brilliance not discarding it in shame.
